Stockholm's Ozgur Can brings his atmospheric house style to two new tunes on Stripped Down, while a Sasha Carassi remix completes this fantastic package.
 
Ozgur Can is a producer and audio-engineer who has been putting out all manner of house, tech and prog fusions since 2003. He also releases as Autonomi amongst other aliases, and has landed on established labels like Truesoul, Cocoon and Sincopat.
 
He kicks off this latest missive with the dark and sultry 'Chance.' Spoken word vocals lend the heavy groove and warped bassline real intimacy while tension builds through the sleek synths. It all adds up to a perfectly heady house track for those cosy dancefloor moments. 'We In Minor' is another well crafted, deep cut house groove, but this one has a more expansive, epic sense of drama. The busy cosmic synth sequences bring the track to life and ensure maximum impact.
 
Sasha Carassi might be an Italian veteran but he is still filled with fresh ideas and always brings that to the fore with his big techno tunes on Drumcode, Unrilis and Diynamic. His superb remix keeps you on a tantalising knife-edge. It has bright, sharp synths cutting through the rubbery bass while an ever present sense of turbulence unfolds up top.

'Our 73rd release is upon us and we welcome back Gem label boss Secret Cinema's latest collaboration effort with non-other than Dutch techno maestro, Egbert. Opening things up, 'Vortex' takes us on a relentless four-to-the floor twisting journey through eerie soundscapes and rave-like synth stabs. Pulling our attention in through finely tuned details and powerful subs. Next up,'Random 47' takes us on a thrilling ride with multiple layers of beautifully crafted synth work and a thumping kick drum that sends an electrifying current through our senses. Lastly, Secret Cinema calls on newcomers, Amata to take 'Vortex' on a deeper narrative. Focused primarily on groove and dream-like pads which float over delicate drums. Not forgetting Amata's mean signature synth sound to tie the remix up sublimely.'

And lo, did the Seladorians once again traverse the planet, seeking only the very best in sumptuous sounds, music that would rock the dancefloors to their very core. And verily we did land in Panama, where we reconnected once more with Carlos Barbero. ‘Wake Up’, his warmly received Selador debut last year, had received more plaudits than Lord Plaudit of Plauditsville on National Plaudits Day.

“Please sir,” we said, trembling in anticipation, “can we have some more?” My friends, we think you know the answer, for it resides here with you right now, a floor filler of epic proportions direct from the Barbero bunker, featuring a goosebump-generating vocal and remixers of great repute. 

‘Closer to Closure’ is the title and all versions showcase the sublime vocal performance of Dom Fricot (he of Anjunadeep and Systematic Recordings fame). The original mix is a thing of beauty, marrying brooding subtlety with striking hooks. File under essential.

We are also overjoyed to have a Selador label debut courtesy of a remix from one of our favourite producers. Yulia Niko(for it is she) is a globetrotting maestro currently resident in Berlin. Her interpretation goes deeeeeep, but also showcases the haunting vocal to brilliant effect.

Double bubble, dancefloor trouble, cooked up for you by another Selador cross-continental dream team.
