DJ, Producer and Curator of Hidden, Deepak Sharma has been entrenched within techno for over a decade. Tough, raw and gritty describe the man, his music and label.
Perseverance is another word synonymous with Deepak Sharma: an unrelenting passion for music and sharing his sound through a belief so intense, his soul pours out and bears itself within each release and DJ set. Known for a cerebral approach to music, he demonstrates his ethos that DJ’ing is about creating a moment, often through taking crowds on a hypnotic journey and building energy, with a room as one towards a higher peak. While DJ’ing is his calling, his label also requires the utmost care through each carefully curated offering, slowly and steadily building a catalog greater than most accomplishing the rare feat of forty-four releases and counting.

The Brvtalist is proud to present a new mix from Deepak Sharma. The DJ, producer and curator of Hidden has been refining his craft for well over a decade and has become known for unrelenting and hypnotic sets and productions from the U.S. to Europe and beyond. Today we present a special mix crafted using several unreleased tracks, forthcoming releases and favorites from across the techno spectrum. 

We also take a look at Sharma’s new EP, Bedlam, out March 16th on Hidden Recordings. This is perhaps the producer’s most ambitious work to date and we were quickly drawn in to its dark, almost trance-inducing qualities. Today, we also present the premiere of “Mania”, the final track on EP and a truly powerful way to close it out. The release also features a great remix from Barcelona duo- NX1.

Dimitar Kozhuharov, aka Markov, is a Bulgarian DJ and producer, born in Varna and living in Sofia. Markov developed a strong interest in music from an early age. .
In 2017, after moving to Sofia and getting more familiar with the techno-sound, Markov and three of his like-minded friends co-founded the collective Stamina.
Since then Markov has had the chance to play alongside Remco Beekwilder, Ancient Methods, Tim Tama, Code Empire, Scalameria, Lag, Marla Singer, Dax J., Perk, 99999999 and many others. 
Later this year, he will be releasing a remix for one of his fellow Stamina co-founders Dimitar Georgiev on the Greek label Corpus Black.

Austrian-born, X tin started off producing electronic music and being an active part of Salzburgs underground techno scene, with two releases out on local labels. Berlin shaped her exploring worlds between dark dystopian techno, hypnotic and experimental ambient, which she blends in carefully curated mixes since 2015. In her own productions, field recording plays an essential role. Shapeshifting sound experiments, drifting from meditative dream like ethereal scenes to intense bone-deep noise nightmares, presented in the form of live pieces for various performances.
Distorting genres, blurring lines between styles and layering sceneries, while never lacking a specific taste and powerful character. An eclectic choice of rhythms is sending travellers through deep ambient, mesmerizing electronic up to dark hypnotic- and energetic industrial techno.

In August 2014 I started this show, and it's aired every 4 weeks since.  Over the last 6 years I've had some unbelievable guest mixes from recognisable names to people you won't have heard of but should know. Just prior to the pandemic in February, his DJing was breaking through playing only vinyl alongside Phase, Stef Mendesidis and Deniro at Tresor in February.  Earlier in the month, Hidden had a label night with Tadeo and JC Laurent at Kwartz Club where Deepak was on closing.  Longer sets are his favorite and at Moog in Barcelona he held his own for over three hours for the ultimate journey.
