We end the year with an another epic release from sequence friend, Midnight Behaviour. We heard Elysium on a podcast & were instantly hooked by it’s insane synth break & driving bass! 

Thunder Moon is a funkier take on a modern techno track. The heavy ‘electro’ style bassline drives it, whilst the signature Midnight Behaviour sound comes through in the subtle, yet euphoric melodies.

A perfect way to round off 2021.

Joël has enjoyed mainstream electronic music from the tender age of 12, but it wasn’t until his brother took him to a festival that he discovered techno.  He recalls watching Ame & Egbert playing at the time, being mesmerised by the detail and expression of the music. This first techno experience had him sold.

As with many young electronic music producers Joël is self taught, although he is very grateful to ‘Love Over Entropy’ from whom he learnt a lot within a short frame of time.  Taking his inspiration from labels such as Afterlife, Steyoyoke & Awen Records, Joël has carefully crafted his own signature sound, combining complex drum patterns with dark textures and melodies.

sequence music was born out of 20 years industry experience, with a vision of discovering and showcasing the most forward thinking musicians.

The label’s main focus is to push boundaries and evolve the deeper, more melodic side of house and techno.
