Slicing into the scene in 2019 with a drum & bass blade so sharp, precise and futuristic you’d swear it was forged in the blazing furnace of No U-Turn itself, Australian alchemist Jaise is very much a new-generation name... But his sound began to take shape well over 20 years ago.

Now at home on labels like Rebel Music, Metalheadz and (in the near future) Dispatch, a whole lifetime of musical endeavours and explorations stand between his current sci-fi sonic onslaught and his first encounter with D&B. A life of endless tours, sessions and jams in his local Perth scene, but a chance encounter with his old vinyl collection rekindled a fire that’s now burning brighter than ever.

Feel the heat yourselves on this mix he’s carved for us. A glacial, breath-taking trip into D&B’s most timeless territories, it captures where Jaise is at right now and where part of him has always been.

After five years of planning, writing, and refining their sound, London-based production duo Kolectiv are set to release their long-awaited debut drum & bass album, Circadian Rhythms.

The project began in the aftermath of the pandemic, when the pair started setting aside tracks that captured the spirit of a night out at a drum & bass event. Their vision was clear: to create an album that reflects the variety, energy, and progression of a rave – from the first beats that pull you into the closing sounds that carry you home.

“Going out to drum & bass nights, you’d hear so many different flavours across six or seven hours. We wanted the album to follow that same arc – like a circadian rhythm, a natural flow of time, but in this case the cycle of a rave,” Kolectiv explain.

To achieve this, the duo placed a strong emphasis on originality and sound design. Most of the album was built from scratch using their own recorded samples, crafted through sessions with keys, drums, and guitars, and only dipping into external sources when absolutely necessary. Vocal collaborations from PAV4N, Hijak MC, Illmatika and Kerry Donnelly add unique flavour to the project, while carefully placed interludes tie the project together as a complete listening experience.

“This isn’t just a collection of tracks. We wanted it to be a journey – a cradle-to-grave kind of experience – with highs, lows, and moments to breathe.”

The title Circadian Rhythms captures that intention perfectly: an audio diary of a night spent immersed in drum & bass culture, told through Kolectiv’s trademark blend of technical precision and emotional depth.

The project also coincided with a complete studio overhaul, giving Kolectiv a fresh environment to finalize and mix down the record with a renewed sense of clarity and focus.

With Circadian Rhythms, Kolectiv deliver more than an album – they present a story, an atmosphere, and a tribute to the music and culture that shaped them.

Sequent is a DJ and producer from Vienna/Austria who developed her interest in music in her early teenage years, and is now known for her more deep liquid, and techier, darker flavours. 

She started collecting vinyl at the age of 14 and just two years later she discovered her love for mixing.
While expanding the collection and more and more practice the first official DJ gig in Vienna came up. 

Ever since then she played many gigs in Austria, such as ‘Mainframe’, ‘Beat it’ & Upgrade at FLEX, ‘Kolo Rave’ with the Error crew or ‘Drumfabrik’ in Upper Austria and had her first few international appearances in the UK, CzechRepublic,Slovakia, Germany & Spain.

She gained more and more notoriety with her mainly deep, dark and tech- driven sets and her sharp mixing skills which led to an interview and guestmix on the inafamous Slovakian radio show ‘Signall_FM’.

In 2022 she was also listed as one of UKF’s ‘One’s to Watch 2022.

With releases on Blu Saphir, Mainframe Recordings, Deep Within Recordings, I.D Bogota Music & PTRNS she got support from the likes of Camo & Krooked, DJ Marky, Alibi, Dossa & Locuzzed, HLZ, Arkaik & many more. 

In January 2020 Sequent and Vienna based DJ Aras launched their new monthly mix-series project ‘Sunday Sessions’ showcasing their favorite tunes in Drum and Bass.

She’s also part of a female bass music collective named AMI|KAL that she founded together with Aras,  Jalen Mess & Sarah Allen in 2020.
