You can wear a thousand masks without ever dressing up. A game of expressions, gestures, and words can be nothing more than a facade, a shimmer, an illusion. A smile without joy. A tear without sorrow.

Nothing is as it seems - or at least, rarely is. Or is it?

Rude Boy loosely translated: misbehaving boy, troublemaker.
In this song, the character repeats these words to himself over and over, rapidly, almost as a mantra trying to believe them by force. It becomes an outward-facing shield meant to maintain its effect. This constant repetition continues until exhaustion sets in and only then can he begin to question everything.

It’s time to realize who he once was:
A boy.

Of course, this character is also a part of me. As an artist, the creative process is an ongoing act of questioning everything. An emotional rollercoaster.
Each new piece opens up new philosophical themes.
Am I still myself or have I become a reflection of the market?
Who could possibly grasp the thoughts and emotions flowing through my body when I stand on stage and perform my music?
What expectations do I project onto the music itself?

On social media, the mask fits perfectly. Always positive. Good vibes only!
That’s what I kept telling myself.
But life isn’t like that—and we can only truly appreciate and enjoy the light if we’re willing to look at, accept, and allow the dark as well.

Yin needs yang. Black needs white—and vice versa.
And that’s okay with me.
I’m happy being the grown man who still carries a child within 
embracing the full spectrum of emotion.Rather than following conventional narratives, @Skydrips embraces ambiguity and softness as acts of quiet strength. These tracks don’t shout. They listen.
