How do you sound today?
Have you ever thought that we can sound differently depending on our physical and emotional state? We merge with music, we become music, but we are not a whole piece, we are a note. I am a note in the piece of music. But, if I'm a note, what is a piece? Whole life? If we assume the possibility of reincarnation, then each new life is a new piece of music? Or maybe each new piece is a different life situation? However, it does not matter. In each piece, we, like notes, play a different meaning, even if we produce the same sound. Much depends on our environment: somewhere we stand out, somewhere we get lost and we are not heard at all. Perhaps it is important to create a silence around you, surround yourself with a few notes as possible in order to hear yourself, to hear how you sound. Moreover, by creating a silence around us, you can hear a note that sounds beautiful to you. A note that complements you, and you complement it. You sound beautiful together. You become not just a note, but together you become music, a piece of music. So, how do you sound today?

Hailing from the North East of England, Seraph is an electronic music producer whose music exhibits emotional soundscapes that conjure up feelings of nostalgia and melancholy. Beginning his musical journey in 2018, Seraph has slowly crafted a sonic identity that feels distinctly his own.

Discovering YouTube channels such as FOMH and the_accidental_poet during his time as a Music Technology student, Seraph quickly
became engrossed in the underground Wave scene and quickly found his creative vision. While Seraph is a familiar name in the Wave scene, his unique approach to the genre has distinguished himself from his contemporaries. Defined by his blend of warm synth tones and ethereal guitar textures, Seraph pushes his music under the label of 'Lofi-Wave'.

Upon releasing his EP 'Veins' in 2020, Seraph pushed aside plans for any long-term projects, deciding instead to explore his sound further through singles and collaborations. After experimenting with styles such as Garage and breakcore, Seraph began to brainstorm ideas for his debut album.

Inspired by the nostalgia of his time in the Wave scene, Seraph's debut album 'Memento' is driven by delicate melodies, tender soundscapes and is ultimately a love letter to this music community.

Having grown up on albums such as The Downward Spiral by Nine Inch Nails, Seraph knew that he would want to craft an album that was a cohesive listening experience from beginning to end. With Memento, Seraph not only achieves this, but the experience is elevated by the ambitious range of musical influences on display.
