Diynamic Musics Picture: series is a document in time, showcasing an artists current creative output in order to allow the listener to visualise and understand the artist at a certain moment. It is not an album format, but far more than merely an EP. Picture: is various dancefloor-oriented facettes of one producer, shaping the imagery that ultimately results in the listeners mind.

"A mysterious bell-like synth line leads into an incredible simple one-note groove. The melodic vocal departure in the middle is a very late addition, a good example of how I challenged myself to solve arrangement problems with melody and harmony instead of with timbre and effects."

"This theme is a motive that occurs frequently in the show. It started as a simple mysterious melody I improvised on just the Lyra-8, but it ended up in a more orchestrated version with added synths played against the main melody."

"This scene starts off with a complicated self-playing modular synthesizer patch. More synthesizers come in and take over for a brief orchestral moment, before the music turns inwards and mysterious again and builds towards a creepy hammering percussive sound."

"This scene combines two new techniques I’ve been exploring: it’s written in an irregular measure (5/4), and the big synth theme that comes in halfway would be very hard to play on a synthesizer that only allows standard western tuning. The music is written to the first violent dream in the performance, hence the name “War Dance"."

"Another improvisation I recorded on the Lyra-8. I appreciated the simplicity in this improvisation, so I decided to try to keep it as simple as I could, so I just added some tape echos that speed up and slow down for added instability. Instability of pitch is another obviously recurring theme throughout the score, the lack of stability ties in with the dream-like structure of the performance."

"....A scene that starts off sensual and lingering slowly gets out of hand. Before I started composing the music I researched story of Sleeping Beauty and the versions it originated from. I found some interesting concept in psychoanalytical interpretations of the story and its renditions across the centuries, that helped me to make internal sense of a transition from a sensual to a violent mood.

"....This is the first music the audience hears when the lights go out in the theatre after everyone is seated. Another improvisation I recorded on the Lyra-8, and ended up using for the score. When I received this mysterious machine I recorded some music with it, and all of those recordings made it to the performance. Fun fact: the Lyra is made in Russia just like the original ballet and the Tchaikovsky score.

"....A nostalgic dream of a past when things were simple, haunted by a present in which things are definitely not as simple as they once were. Is blissful unawareness something to ever wish for? Inspired by my time in a studio on Izu Peninsula, Japan, where I was invited by The Upbeats. I got a chance to use some very nostalgic equipment there: a very old and crackly Roland SH-101 synth arpeggiating into an equally old and dusty RE-201 tape delay.

"....A decidedly lazy daydream offering an idyllic but temporary respite. It echoes an inversion of the main theme in “Overcome” during the more dramatic middle section. I didn’t realize I used the same recording twice until much later. When I noticed, I had to put both uses together in the tracklist!

Unmoved Mover is the title track of the EP of the same name, which features two of the most requested ID's on the DJ set I played with Skrillex back in February 2020, and a very exciting new remix by Sinistarr.
