"Mayan Warrior once again blew minds at Burning Man. Big sound, big lasers. I got to plug in my USB’s on Monday night and had a great time. Set link in bio.

People take it almost for granted but it’s such a technical and logistical challenge to run an artcar in the desert.

Festival grade tech - generators, PA, lighting etc - has to fit inside a tiny bus and kept running for a week. Overheating is the main danger, mechanical wear and tear due to dust and vibration is substantial. Generators need constant refueling. Easier said than done when the fuel truck does not show up due to sandstorms.

Then you need a bunch of security to keep people from being run over or falling off the artcar. The chaos these crews have to manage is substantial.

It takes a village. 🙏🏽❤️"

A Sunday Ecstatic with the Ecstatic Dance Uk Crew. What an incredible morning of energy. Following the Embody Festival night we had before, this Sunday we started slow and steady before moving into the depths.

First 30 minutes of set are the warm up tracks within the physical practices being led live.

Recorded live at the Yoga Barn in Ubud Bali on January 7, 2024.

A dynamic mix of big energy tracks ranging from shamanic downtempo to upbeat Latin, whompy bass, melodic techno, and world house. Infused with mantras to Shiva and Arabic prayers.

This was a sweaty set for the room full of hundreds of dancers. Two floors of dancing in the jungle of Bali. Magic, love, community, and fun. 

My first dance set of 2024 and freshly back on a visit to Bali, a place I called home for many years.

Artists include Skrillex, Awaré, Islandman, Scott Nice, and Missy Elliot.

a mix that i have been wanting to assemble for a long while and it finally came to fruition as i was perched by the pacific ocean in the company of wolves and hawks. the distant sound of the waves crashing far below permeates my experience. the fog and rain and wild ocean compliment these sounds. i could have called this the existential crisis mix, or the grief mix or the nervous breakdown mix. a mostly beatless journey through ambient/neoclassical compositions, it's dramatic and emotional and noisy, uplifting and depressing, dark and beautiful{to me}. i hope it finds you in the right place and time.
