"Dead Cowboy Rebellion"

The only way to describe the sound of "Dead Cowboy Rebellion" is a joke of sorts: Uncle Acid and the Deadbeats goes into a bar with Marilyn Manson who is arm in arm with Mike Patton dressed as Slayer's mascot, and buys Pink Floyd a drink. Already tripping, Pink sees the crew and asks, "what kind of drink is this?" To which bartender Alice Cooper replies "It's a Green Torment with extra Grande Wormwood. And what the hell am I doing in a joke?" 

I didn't say it made sense. In other words, what does it sound like to YOU?

Dead Cowboy Rebellion 1. Living In The Nightmare

This is from the "Next Victim" EP, which has two tracks from the forthcoming concept album, "The Dark Half" which is half finished but closer to completion than originally anticipated. 

This is the eerie words of Martin, the man who loses his mind due to wicked headaches and, succumbs to do the beasts bidding to kill in exchange for pain free time.

From the forthcoming album "The Dark Half" this is also the title track of the 1st official EP by Dead Cowboy Rebellion available for digital download NOW!!!

It is hard to describe the new Genre of music being created by D.C.R. so we have named it simply "Disturbing." It's not all Metal, not all Alternative, not all Industrial, etc. In fact, it is a combination of styles that, broken down, are known as "Disturbing."
Truly, "Dead Cowboy Rebellion" is not like everything else. Instead, it is something else altogether.

This song has always been a favorite of mine and, under a great deal of stress in recent months, the time felt right to do a heavier version. Plus, it's a tip of the hat to one of my favorite writers, Billy Joel. 

Dead Cowboy Rebellion - Pressure

This is what started off as a remix for Nine Inch Nails, but became a 're-version' of the original song. While the vocals and certain elements of the original song are left intact, all drums, guitars, bass and treatments were done and performed by Mack Daniels. It's quite different from the original. 

NIN - The Hand That Bleeds (Mack D Version)

This is a track from the forthcoming debut album from DEAD COWBOY REBELLION, "The Dark Half" coming in 2012. This is a rough mix, unmastered; with vocals to be recut for the final recording. It's a short but brutal tune, setting the theme for the concept of the disc.
