Ele nasceu em Palermo, na ilha da Sicília, ao sul da Itália, cresceu em Milão nos anos 90 e mudou-se para Londres e depois Berlim onde teve residências e tocou regularmente nos clubes mais influentes, entre turnês pelos mais diversos países, além de lançamentos em algumas das gravadoras mais conhecidas do mundo. Engenheiro de áudio, Sound Designer, amante de Jazz, Trip-Hop, Bossa Nova e Drum and Bass, o nosso convidado também é dono da Serialism Records, uma das gravadoras mais importantes do nosso cenário e residente do D-EDGE em São Paulo.

Artist Bio:
Cesare Marchese is an Italian-Polish artist now based in Brazil. He is a DJ, music producer-composer, sound engineer and A&R, founder of Serialism Records and Morning People. Having lived first in Milan in the 90s, then in London for almost a decade, Cesare relocated to Berlin a few years back. During his time there he held residencies and played regularly at the most influential clubs in between touring all over the world on top of releasing music on some of the most known Dance labels around. Now based in São Paulo for a few years, he's leaving his mark on Brazil's nightlife with a residency at D-Edge club and constant appearances at the best events around the country as well as composing Soundtracks for Films, TV series, Shorts, and Documentaries reaching and winning some prestigious Film Festivals worldwide. His background is eclectic, obsessive, ranging from classical piano studies and live drums to a deep passion for Jazz, Bossanova, Neo Soul, Electronica, Dub, Drum&Bass and Trip/Hip Hop. His discography stretches over for years and continents and includes major Indie labels such as Ninja Tune/Big Dada, Cocoon, Bpitch Control, Transmat, Crosstown Rebels, Get Physical Music, Bedrock and tons of underground imprints, from Vakant to Watergate via Dumb Unit, Rawax, NervMusic or on his label Serialism that has been a reference in the Club industry for 15 years.

Split into Night and Morning editions, each volume comes with its own distinct sonic universe and artwork, offering a full-spectrum journey through the label’s DNA.

The Night Edition (Pt.1) is a pulse-raising selection of House, Garage, Tech House, and Breakbeats, crafted for peak-time sets, warehouse moments, or dark-room euphoria. The forthcoming Morning edition (Pt.2) will ease into more stripped-down, Minimal, and after-hours territory, a soundscape that has long defined Serialism’s deeper, more hypnotic side.

Following the high-energy peak-time pulse of the *Night Edition, Serialism Records continues its 18 years celebration with Before Everything Else Vol.6. The Morning Edition, the second half of a double compilation that captures the label’s full emotional and sonic spectrum.

The Morning Edition (Part 2) dives into more stripped-back, minimal, Breakbeats and after-hours terrain, crafted for those intimate sunrise sets and hypnotic deep-space dancefloors.

This volume reflects the label’s soulful, heady, and more introspective identity. If the Night Edition was built for clubs and peak-time pressure, the Morning is for open-air rooftops, early morning tunnels, and sun-kissed gatherings where sound takes on a dreamlike quality.

This second half features a powerful lineup of underground artists, both veterans and rising voices, each shaping a unique moment of this sonic journey.

Bar 25 Music proudly presents two tracks from Benno Blome’s forthcoming album “Night Shots”, including remixes by four different artists. Three for the dancefloor - one for the couch.
Remixed by Dachshund from Geneva and Tigerskin from Berlin, “White Flag” is a deep tune with a reduced melodic synth-line that sidles majestically through its performance. “We come in peace”, is pitched way down in Dachshund’s fantastic mix. In Tigerskin’s version, it disappeared, instead layering the hook line into a warm, dubby groove monster.
“Spherical Aberration” goes deep, yet remians pretty club-compatible in its original version. It has found superb remixes by Jiggler from Berlin and Kenneth James Gibson from Los Angeles. Here are two remixes that couldn’t be more contrasting. Jiggler, who is also known as one half of Channel X, pushes the theme into its boundaries and is capable to set any floor on fire.
On the other side we have Kenneth James Gibson’s beatless version which is super fluffy, hypnotic and with his typical ambient style, well-known from his amazing albums on Cologne’s Kompakt label.
This six-track-EP features the whole spectrum and is a preview in reference to Benno’s full length album “Night Shots”, to be released in February 2018, also on Bar 25 Music. Stay tuned.

In order to see, we need light, but we are not blind in the darkness. Our eyes adapt to the darkness and we see contours and shapes. Only colours are hard to differentiate. That’s why we say, ‘All cats are grey at night’. Darkness lets you feel all your other senses much stronger. For example, you hear much better.
That’s why Benno Blome’s debut album “Night Shots” is best heard after sunset. Each of these tracks are like a picture taken under low light, where schemes and structures come together in the process of its development. The night itself becomes the target here.
Each part of every track is scheduled to be experienced during the nightfall. The absence of daylight is the concept where adrenaline rushes through the veins like cars driving through city streets. Traffic, people, clubs, flashlights – everything shines in shapes and forms.
After 18 years of music production, countless EP’s and remixes on his own imprint, Sender, and befriended labels like Bar 25 Music, it was finally time for Benno Blome to drop his first full length album. He noticed a strong current running though his productions, beginning to interconnect his album already. So he came out of the studio with some brand new material (“Spherical Aberration”, “White Flag”, “Full Frame”, “High Grain”, “Lense Distortion” as well as an edit of “Have Some”) and bound it together with his favourite recent tracks (“Abotha“, “Father Of Birds”, “Drop Out”, “Check Check”, “Jac Jac” and “People Keep On”). The plan turned out even better than expected, as the combination of all these tracks tied together and created an almost magical, maybe even addictive flow. As you would expect, the storyboard to this flow was written by Benno and the night, but he had help by some good friends as well. “People Keep On” was coproduced by Kotelett & Zadak, “Lense Distortion” by Daniel Dreier and “Father of Birds” by Hopperider.
