Two of the most exciting prospects on the jump up circuit join forces once again. This time, Jenks and ACP unite for a mighty five-track EP.

Rising to prominence with a string of high-performing releases and collaborations between them, the two producers bring their vicious brand of drum and bass to the prestigious Serial Killaz label.

Dark World opens the EP with a captivatingly eerie digital melody interspersed by crisp sampled breaks. Eight bars of two-step drums and eight bars of breaks and kick rolls later, brutal wubs and roaring subs cut through the mix. Play with caution; this one is sure to take heads off in the dance.

High Key follows with a tasteful blend of contemporary sounds and soulful late-90’s jump up, channelling early V and Full Cycle releases. Bouncy and wobbly 808s paired with effervescent effects drive the track forwards with no compromise.

The title track, Gangsters, continues proceedings. Four and a half minutes of unadulterated filth complete with dissonant pads, call and response bass stabs, and punchy drums makes for a tune as menacing as the name suggests.

Next up is Dummy. Heavy drums and meaty basses develop throughout the track, taking energy levels higher and higher. One serious stepper.

Going Down rounds out the release. Fierce synthesised horn stabs and snare rolls pave the way for an even more intense climax. Syncopated drums are switched out for a two-step pattern after four bars, coinciding with a gunfinger-raising ascending bassline.

Grafix finally unveils his new sound to the world on his remarkable ‘Refuge’ EP - his first solo release in almost ten years since departing from his long-term collaborative outfit. Delve into his new found inspiration across four tracks that explore the world of underground dancefloor drum & bass.

The acid-techno inspired ‘Acid Generation’ calls back to the sound of rave counterculture through the late 80s, with a rapid-fire relay of metallic stabs that pack enough punch to surge through any concrete jungle.

Original Grafix fans will relish in the power-chords and big leads of ‘Refuge’, that feature the addictive vocals of Bristol’s Ruth Royall. ‘Photons’ is a welcomed switch-up, bringing in Grafix’s love of house and garage with stabbing percussions and ethereal synths. As ‘Rain Fall Down’ calls out Grafix has his new musical vision clear in sight.

As a duo, Grafix has previously released three albums with Hospital Records that included the huge drum & bass anthems ‘Major Happy’, ‘Forest Fires’, ‘Ultraviolet’, ‘Tension’ and many more. He’s had radio support from the likes of Zane Lowe, Annie Mac, MistaJam, Rene LaVice, as well as club support from the biggest in the game.

He’s previously toured the globe and this summer he continues to take dancefloors by storm with sets at Glastonbury, Liquicity Festival, Hospitality On The Beach, Boardmasters and more.

Fred V is heading straight into 2020, taking things above and beyond since his ‘Proximity’ EP with the latest chapter in his solo story, the ‘Distance’ EP. A widely revered soundsmith for futuristic drum & bass euphoria yet this four track EP also unleashes Fred V’s technical prowess for heavyweight club bangers, bittersweet twists and soaring vocal features from Vonné and Chelsea Watts.

Heading up the EP is ‘Away’, a stunning balance of Vonné’s powerful vocal emotion and Fred V’s synth-laded sonics. In a similar fashion comes ‘Shadow,’ setting the scene with smooth melodies from Chelsea Watts, that slip into an energetic ride primed to electrify dancefloors worldwide.

‘Wobbleboard’ showcases Fred V’s ability to colour outside the lines in the form of a subby, off-kilter stepper, sure to rattle rib-cages and test sound-systems to their limits. Fans of Fred V’s liquid euphoria will celebrate ‘Light In The Distance’, gentle atmospheric pads and crisp synth work see the ‘Distance’ EP home, and round off a showcase of the four corners of Fred V’s sound.

During his time as a solo artist, Fred V has seen support from esteemed BBC Radio 1 dance music tastemaker Annie Mac, electronica YouTube behemoth MrSuicideSheep and even US dance music leviathan Diplo. Fred V can be found taking his unique sound to an international scale, with his 2020 tour of Australia and New Zealand, as well as visits to the crystalline coasts of Croatia for Hospitality On The Beach, Liquicity and Hospitality Returns To The Dock in London.
