Heute feiern wir den Geburtstag von Sebastian M. (Basti) aus Köln. Sein Wunsch war es ein b2b Set mit seinem guten Freund Andrej (Monotrack) aufzunehmen. Die beiden Verrückten kennen sich nun schon einige Jahre, in denen sie eine Vielzahl an inspirierenden Abenden und Tagen teilten. Auf der ewig währenden Suche nach ihrem Sound und sich selbst forschten sie gemeinsam im Universum der elektronischen Musik. Das Reden über Musik fiel ihnen immer leichter, wodurch sich bei zahlreichen Treffen, stundenlange Gespräche über Tracks, Emotionen und die Person hinter der Musik entwickelten. Wir wünschen Basti alles erdenklich Gute zu seinem heutigen Geburtstag, der natürlich ausgiebig gefeiert wird.

Sebastian M aus Köln, ein DJ und Liebhaber guter Musik. Ursprünglich stammt er aus dem Bergischen, jedoch hat es ihn 2017 in die Großstadt gezogen. Hier kann er sich sowohl in seiner Persönlichkeit als auch in seiner Musikleidenschaft optimal entfalten, denn diese ist genau so lebendig wie Köln selbst. Allgemein ist die Musik für ihn mehr als nur ein Hobby: Sie hilft ihm vom Alltag abzuschalten, zu verarbeiten und hat ihm mehr als einmal die Türe zu einer neuen Freundschaft geöffnet.
Im Jahr 2003 kam Sebastian zum ersten Mal mit Trance in Kontakt. Jedoch sollte mehr als ein Jahrzehnt vergehen, bis er wieder mit elektronischer Musik in Berührung kam. Über zahlreiche Genre, von Rock über Hip-Hop und Reggea, entdeckte er letztendlich den Techno für sich. Die Szene in all seinen Facetten lernte er dann im Jahre 2018 kennen. Ein Jahr später legte er zum ersten Mal auf.
Sebastian ist derzeit noch auf der Suche nach seinem eigenen Stil und verbessert darüber seine Fähigkeiten als DJ. Angefangen mit Hard-Techno geht es bei ihm mittlerweile etwas softer zu. Langweilig wird es bei ihm jedoch nie, denn seine Art aufzulegen ist immer im Einklang mit seiner Gefühlswelt. So ist von Dark-Techno bis zu groovigen House Klängen alles vertreten. Dabei ist er immer auf der Suche nach neuen, außergewöhnlichen Tracks, die er harmonisch in seine Sets einarbeiten kann. Aber nicht nur mit seiner temperamentvollen Musik, sondern auch mit Humor gewinnt er die Menge für sich. Seine Mission: Entertainment des Publikums. Dafür ist er sich für keinen Spaß zu Schade, was jeder der ihn persönlich kennt sofort bestätigen würde.

The native Italian, Alessia Cattani, discovered her love for music at an early age. After moving to Germany over 20 years ago, she drew inspiration from various musical influences—from singing in choirs to performing in a jazz band. However, her true passion ignited on the dance floor: the driving rhythms, pulsating basslines, and hypnotic energy of techno captivated her increasingly.

In 2019, she shifted perspectives and took control of the decks herself. Since then, she has been developing her own sound—powerful, bass-heavy, and full of energy, yet always melodic and captivating.

Her sets are particularly characterized by the deliberate use of vocals, creating emotional depth and allowing listeners to form an even more intense connection to the music. Whether dark and mystical or euphoric and powerful, her track selection always tells a story, drawing the crowd into a mesmerizing sonic world.

Dennis aka deN!ce ist ein DJ aus dem Sauerland und als Resident beim Kölner Kollektiv und Label Serotonin Music, der Tinnitus Afterhour sowie der Bassreisen Afterhour beheimatet.

Sein musikalisches Repertoire erstreckt sich von minimalistischem-, über Peak Time bis hin zu düster-melodischem Dark Techno. Gleichwie als Künstler ist er auch Raver aus purer Leidenschaft. Erste Gigs verzeichnete er Anfang der 2000er Jahre, und bald darauf entdeckte er auch das Produzieren eigener Samples für sich. Techno war für ihn niemals nur ein bloßes Hobby, sondern seit eh und je eine Lebenseinstellung.

deN!ce befindet sich stetig auf seiner musikalischen Entdeckungsreise, die für ihn über die vergangenen Monate zu viel Entwicklung geführt hat: Von einer neuen Residency in der Red Cat Lounge hin zu einer Verfeinerung seines Stils/Sounds.

Solomind is a DJ and selector from the Cologne/Bonn area, deeply rooted in the hypnotic worlds of Dark Minimal and Psytech.

With a sound that blends precision and depth, his sets are defined by driving rhythms, deep grooves, and a cinematic sense of flow. Since 2014, he has explored the darker edges of techno , not to overwhelm, but to mesmerize.

Each performance is a journey through emotional tension and release. His mission: to unite people through sound, and transport them into new, introspective dimensions.

Serotonin Music

As a collective, label and organizer, Serotonin Music (formerly Serotonin) has been present in Cologne since 2020.
Founded by Niclas Engelken and Andrej Kovgan, the project has stood for constant development, musical diversity and lovely people in teamwork who recognize electronic music as the highest form of art.
As part of its own music label, Serotonin Music creates an inspiring space in which artists can present their music and personality in an authentic way. The two-week podcasts not only provide a stage for talented musicians, but also enable listeners to discover the people behind the art and get to know their stories. After numerous events (especially Klub Domhof, Helios), both as an organizer and as a host, the joint work recently focused on expanding and specializing the label and podcast series.
The philosophy of Serotonin Music is to offer visitors and listeners alike an intensive experience: every release is an invitation to explore new musical horizons and celebrate the diversity of electronic music together with like-minded people. The same spirit is also pursued by the events that Serotonin Music has planned for 2025 to give people a good time and invite them to fully devote themselves to music.
