Katharina Schmidt is a musician based in Berlin.
Katharina's solo work is heavily influenced by indie, experimental, and improvised music. Katharina likes exploring storytelling, sonic topographies, with generative techniques. Her music uses field recordings and self-built interfaces alongside acoustic instruments. From sonifications to lullabies. Her work is poised between formal experimentation and narratives cued by literature, pop culture. It can be heard in installations, film music, radiophonic pieces, and record labels such as Flag Day Recordings, Slaapwel Records, and Focused Silence.
Katharina holds a master’s degree in Sound Studies from the Berlin University of the Arts and is a resident at Cashmere Radio and SVS Radio.

La vuelta a Radio Relativa. WE FOREIT are back, after the summer break, bleary eyed and bushy tailed with a bag full of new records and a belly full of dreams.

This was recorded just before we headed to play at the Hypnotica Colectiva XVI Anniversary in Valencia, so we decided to start things out this month with some of HC’s finest and a cracking track by Colombia’s Filmmaker. 

A Spanish influence runs through our selections with month with Corp, Dip Shim, Mynationshit and Sed Blava as well as labels like Masa Series and Noise to Meet You; we’ve even managed some Spanish italo care of Tolerance.

Chris digs deep into the crates, resurfacing with electrofunk from Newcleus and wave floorfiller Night Moves. The machines are also centre stage with Roger Van Lunteren hitting some heavy numbers on Something Happening, Somewhere and 030303. Techno gems come care of Luke Slater and PA Presents on U-Trax with some soothing electronics, drawing Summer to a close, by, Konduka and Finnnish masters Pan Sonic.

WE FORFEIT, easing ya back into the office.
