Star B, aka Mark Broom & Riva Star, drop ‘Love Will Remain EP’ on Rekids.

Both Riva Starr and Mark Broom are respected DJs and prolific producers, with individual releases on the
likes of Rekids, Hot Creations, and Starr’s Snatch! Records, amongst others. Together as Star B, the duo
craft disco and funk-infused house and techno with expressive vocals and heavyweight production.

Leading the release, ‘Love Will Remain’ brings chunky, pumping drums, spoken word, and funky disco slices together for a grooving A-side. On the flip, ‘I’ve Got Joy’ heads for the club, combining synth stabs and rocking percussion under heavy-low end and spine-tingling vocals for a surefire party-starter.

A name ascending from the Netherlands’ thriving house scene, Easttown makes his debut on Jamie Jones’ Hot Creations with his ‘Rocking To The Rhythm’ EP—a four-tracker that channels the energy and bounce the label is known for. Title track ‘Rocking To The Rhythm’ sets the pace with tight drums, grooving bass, and a clear cut sense of movement. That energy carries into ‘So Fly’, withnbubbling low-ends and a stripped-back funk that wiggles through the speaker.

Easttown continues the pace on the B-side with ‘Going Down’ steeped in powerful yet playful elements, layering vocals chops and a sharp, driving touch, while ‘Get On Up’ finishes things off with a percussive punch and crisp rhythmic detail—a confident statement of Easttown’s instinct for polished and impactful productions. Easttown’s distinctive fusion of 90s house, disco, and more minimal-led influences has earned him growing recognition, with support from Seth Troxler, ANOTR, and Joseph Capriati, to name a few. Matt Ryder, AKA Odee X, comes back to Radio Slave’s REK’D with the ‘Agent X’ EP 4th July 2025. It follows the London artist’s ‘X-Ray’ EP, which came out on the Rekids sibling earlier this year, and won support from Laurent Garnier, Honey Dijon, Sean Johnston, and many more.

First up on Odee X’s ‘Agent X’ EP is the title track, making a grand and classy entry via jazz-inflected melodies, while dub hits provide weight. Breaks slice through its mellow vibe, with the Reprise version stripping things back to lush atmospheres.

Next, ‘Promised Land’ rolls on with a tough kick underpinning soft harmonies and a deep vocal sample before ‘The Dreamer’ continues with more expert sampling, its rhythm and chords tumbling over one another and closing a versatile package for the REK’D label.

Formerly known as B.U.U.G, Odee X has released on labels like Street Tracks, Nightmayors, and REK’D. He has won club and festival plays from the likes of John Digweed and Josh Wink, with his takes on contemporary House, Techno, and Breakbeat also landing spins on BBC Radio 1 and BBC 6 Music.

Matt Edwards launched REK’D in October 2024 to release no-nonsense House music without the limitations of parent label Rekids. It has released dancefloor-ready EPs from artists such as St. David, DCLVIII OFC, James Juke, James Curd, and more.

German-Romanian duo Frankey & Sandrino come back to Rekids with the Please EP, landing 10th October 2025 alongside a remix from Echonomist. They follow their 2022 Brainscan EP on Radio Slave’s label, as well as a remix for Denney in 2023.

With an irresistible bassline, smooth melody, and a nostalgia-fuelled vocal, Please is the kind of track you hear as you walk into a busy tent at a festival—hands in the air, energy abundant. Frankey & Sandrino are masters at crafting emotional dancefloor bangers, going a little deeper on the progressive Genie, building up to busy stabs and mind-melting, futuristic sound design.

Completing the EP, the pair call in Greek DJ and producer Echonomist to remix Please. The Innervisions and Exit Strategy artist strips the original back, transforming it into a dark, hypnotic groover built for smoke-lit dance floors.

"The original had this beautiful Depeche Mode 80s vibe, but for the remix I wanted to take it into a different space, closer to the Detroit sound I love, a bit like Carl Craig’s approach. Something more hypnotic and club-focused, but still keeping the emotion of Frankey & Sandrino’s track." – Echonomist

Frankey & Sandrino are a German duo that has been shaping dance floors since 2009 with their distinct, trend-defying sound. With releases on Kompakt, Diynamic, and their own Sum Over Histories, and regular appearances at clubs like fabric and Stereo, they now return to Rekids with the Please EP.

Founded in 2006, Radio Slave’s Rekids has since launched the techno-focused Rekids Special Projects in 2017 and its latest sublabel, REK’D, in 2024. With Matt Edwards as the sole A&R, Rekids has been instrumental in developing emerging artists and remains a trusted home for house and adjacent sounds, recently featuring names such as Harry Romero, Tal Fussman, Spencer Parker, The Hacker, and more.

UK techno legend Mark Broom returns to Rekids in February to release four uplifting cuts in the form of his ‘Break 97’ EP.

Mark Broom’s musical career is certainly something to behold – with over 150 releases over the past 25 years, on top of regular gigs across the world’s most renowned institutions, there’s no doubting his work ethic and his influence upon the scene. A prolific artist and true pioneer in the techno world, having worked with revered labels such as Warp, R&S, Ifach and Soma, and in more recent times Blueprint, EPM Music, Red Sonja Records and his own Beard Man Records, his ‘Break 97’ EP kick-starts 2019 for Radio Slave’s Rekids as the imprint adds yet another outstanding name to its roster following the likes of DJ Deep, Sebo K, DJ Spider and more.

‘Break 97’ sets the tone of the EP with a fusion of techno and disco, delicately blending funk-infused chords and resonating kicks amongst groove-filled vocals, before ‘Heart’ delivers inspiriting disco samples, punchy low end and elevating strings to reveal an effervescent aesthetic throughout. ‘EFB’ takes things up a notch, offering a dancefloor focused cut balancing rattling highs, vibrant synth flutters and a muffled vocal line, until ‘G Theme’ rounds out proceedings armed with robust percussion, electrifying vocals and undulating, euphoric keys.
