This album is the result of a project from roughly four years ago. I made a post online stating that I had a piano and a microphone, and I asked for lyrics to make songs with. I got more than a hundred responses, but only about eighteen sets of lyrics. Two of them were too disorganized and illogical for me to make anything with them, leaving me with sixteen. I recorded the album using a Yamaha P-95 and a Turtle Beach headset microphone, used audacity to  save the files and Vocaroo to upload them online. 

I want to make this clear - this was an experiment. No lyrics were changed from the originals given to me. This was somewhat of a conundrum because some of the songs were especially crude, but I made the decision to keep the lyrics as they were given to me because it felt disingenuous otherwise. None of the songs have been altered since the their recording - not even to crop off the silent beginnings and endings. Some songs were first takes, others - "12 - Nikki" in particular - took over 40 takes to get to a point where I was satisfied with what I had created. Some of the songs have identical melodies. One of the songs even copies an Elton John song. Nothing about the production of this album is remotely professional.

All I did was make words I was given into music. I hope anyone who listens will take this entire project with a grain of salt and appreciate it for the simple unvarnished, unpolished, authentic thing that it is.
