KINNY got into the techno/house music scene at the young age of 17.  Locally influenced by Shane Williams aka  'dj big dirty' & Chad Stegall 'the noid' of UDOPIA recordings & EKVILIBRIUM recordings (a Des Moines iowa based label).  Immediately fell in love with electronic music and turntablism. Going to parties every weekend in iowa city/cedar rapids iowa, usually thrown by Amnesty'ACG3'/'THE GOAT'Coleman and/or Matt Rissi; owner/operator of SOLAR CATHEDRAL RECORDINGS, who has also been a MAJOR influence.   By 19  i had my own set of decks and the rest was history.  The last 5 years ive held a series of parties in Burlington iowa @ the washington; a live music venue..  I have also played out in St Louis MO, Kansas City MO,,,burlington, iowa city, cedar rapids, des moines- all in IOWA>also held a residency at a latenight club in gulfport illinios, Sam's Speakeasy Saloon.

Like most seasoned house veterans in the Chicagoland area, Nick got started in 1989 after being inspired and influenced by Chicago House Music and the sounds heard on WGCI, WBMX and early B96 mix shows featuring iconic Chicago House DJs like Bad Boy Bill, Julian "Jumpin" Perez, Farley "Jackmaster" Funk, Boogieman and Mike "Hitman" Wilson.
Specializing in the finest in Club/Underground Dance Music, he knows how to keep it versatile and unpredictable while covering a wide range of styles: from 80s to Electro to Disco to House to Techno and maybe an acapella or two - a spontaneous DJ who can and will play any given thing at any given time. As a proud and fortunate affiliate of the House Brotherhood crew in Rockford and founder of On The House in Cedar Rapids, Nick loves the music and plays not for himself, but for the people listening, dancing and enjoying the sounds no matter who or where they are!

Over the years Nick has also had the honor and pleasure to have shared the stage with some of the most highly regarded and respected DJ's and producers; Frankie Bones, Tyree Cooper, DJ Hyperactive, Mystic Bill, Jerome Baker, Doc Link, Roy Davis Jr and Paul Johnson and more.

Nick also currently holds a residency at The Office Niteclub in Downtown Rockford, Illinois

      -first exposed to the underground music scene in the early 90s, he was instantly attracted to the heavy bass and driving dance rhythms of the house, techno, and jungle beats of the time.

  Then, in 1994 he began emceein for Drum & Bass deejays at parties all across the midwest, for the likes of Omaha's own PLAN 9 & Trigga Happy Cyko, DJ Starscream(Des Moines, IA), and KC's Tony Markham just to name a few. Makin "party tapes" for as long as one can remember for his friends & anyone that would buy one. "I finally got on a set of decks roughly around 96-97, but I started pursuing it seriously about 20 years ago or so."     Since '94 til about 2008, he'd been all over the region playin his style of hip-hop music.. opening for and djin for acts as bone thugs n harmony, fat joe, lil flip, and goodie mob and playing a TON of both local and regional shows and festivals, such as 515 ALIVE, Kosmic Kingdom, Basswoods, Liquid Grooves and BBRR 1-4. He's also held a residency at several nightclubs and venues across the Midwest for several years now- FREAKIN FRIDAY(Omaha-415), SEISMIC ACTIVITY(Sioux City)...  " Ive decided to go back to MY roots(so to speak), and play THE DIRTIEST, NASTIEST, FUNKIEST, "GET YOUR ASS UP ON THE FLOOR AND DANCE" MUSIC I CAN FIND!! Mostly TECHNO and HOUSE... focusing all my energy towards building a frenzy on the dancefloor.. weavin in and out of different styles.
