Goa is over 20 years old in the mean time. Time to have a retrodelic look! For this I dug in my huge cd & vinyl collection and decided to make a mix for every year for the period 1994-2014 to show the "new" generation of goa people how goa-trance evolved, and never really died ;)

This third mix is about 1996, mixed with 2 CDJ1000s and Pioneer djm300 (no lap top mixing involved!). It was a big treat, as many of the tracks are SUPER hard to mix. But I chose the tracks for their musical value, not for their mixing abilities. I hope I managed decently anyway :)This is the first of 2 mixes from 1996. This is the morning/sunrise mix, later on I will also make a "night" - more acidic old school goa trance mix! :) So, have a look, a listen and make sure to buy the music if you like it!

Die ganze Breite des Sees war einzusehen. Ein kühner Sandstreifen kleidete sich in auslaufenden Wellen. Hinter mir lagen die letzten Häuser eines kleinen Ortes, vor mir ein graugrünes Schillern. Das andere Ufer war in der Ferne nur schwerlich zu erahnen. Es musste ein ganzes Stück fort sein. Bergkuppen lagen träge auf der anderen Seite. Etwas stieg hinauf: ich vernahm dröhnende Hörner, die über das Wasser schallten, unergründliche Streicher und ein leises Glitzern, geprägt von endlos schwingendem Glas. Dieser akustischen Manifestation folgend, lief ich hinein in den See, sodass meine Kleider sich mit Wasser vollsogen und fürchterlich schwer wurden. Ich ließ mich fallen und schwamm der Seemitte entgegen, fort vom Ufer. Frei von Angst schwamm ich; zerteilte ich das Wasser mit meinen Armen und legte in jeden meiner Züge so viel Kraft, wie ich nur aufbringen konnte. Hinter mir vernahm ich Stimmen, doch sie schienen von schrecklich weit fern zu kommen und ich hörte weg. Plötzlich wurde ein Grollen wurde laut. Ich hielt inne, denn die Musik war verstummt. Der Zauber war vorüber, das Zentrum des Sees lag unerreichbar in der Ferne. Ich war nur etwa hundert Meter weit geschwommen und in der Tat hielt eine kleine Fähre auf mich zu. Ich erkannte Touristen an Bord, die ihre Kameras auf mich richteten und deren Gesichter hämischen Fratzen glichen. Scham stieg in mir auf.
