The second release on Mirror Records shows perfectly that to find talent you don't have to be looking far away. Sometimes the best is just around the corner waiting to be discovered - like Monsieur Pluspetit! We are more than happy to welcome this talented artist from our hometown to the family. For his Waking Dream EP he produced three Original tracks. The first one, Never Tired, was made in a collaboration with the street artist Nanou and consists of a dreamy build up, driving high hats and beautiful vocals parts. The title track Waking Dream is also quite dreamy but with more drive and groove. Creating a catchy vibe and instant goosebumps! The last original Track however futures a hypnotiyque melody and is pretty straight forward - completing the EP with a true dance floor monster. To finish off the EP we found two very unique remixers to work on Waking Dream. First of all we have Haze-M, who put the track in a spacey direction and turned the melody around to create a very exciting remix and on the other hand we have Shosho who created a more minimalistic and playful version of the track. It's a pleasure to have both of them on the imprint!

'Family Piknik’s mastermind TOM POOKS comes back with a massive EP including two collaborations with French talents TIME & PONTIAS, now regular members of the Family. Red Castle is a true dancefloor weapon, with a catchy hook taking everyone to a higher dimension, while Faces to Ashes is based on a more subtle minimal groove, with suspended arpeggios and a cosmic break.

Swiss legend QUENUM delivers a rolling remix adding even more hypnotic stabs and even a deeper Dub to the break, spreading reverb and floating elements that will create a very emotional state for the dancefloor. Two more remixes for Red Castle complete this EP, with german promising talent BOCK & FUCHS, one of the latest jewels signed by the excellent Traum label.

Last but not least, Family Piknik Music’s co-founder JOY KITIKONTI plays with Red Castle to offer a great minimal techno version, fed by impressive SFX and a very groovy bass line. Percussions and hypnotic build-up will have many bodies shaking. Epic !'

Søren Laga releases his latest EP on Set of the Day Melodic. The two-tracker contains the smooth, organic influenced but also powerful track "Klunker". The vibe is completed by wide warm synths. The second track "Maschinen" convinces with its warm light sounds, that stay in your ears. The key element is the wide-based but energized bassline that fills every dancefloor with warmth.

We are stoked to welcome back Another Mind on our Mirror Records imprint with their new 4 track EP "Miracles". The EP kicks off with "Miracle", the title track of this EP features a beautiful build up into stirring melodies and ethereal harmonies. Next up is Nihil Youngs take on "Miracle". He crafted his very own version of the track, preserving only essential parts of the original and supporting it with a driving and uplifting touch. On the flip side of the EP we have "Wonder", a track which stands out through its intoxicating melody and interesting percussive patterns. The Ep finally finishes off with John Rayets Remix of "Wonder" where he beautifully embedded the original within a driving acid melody, creating a true dancefloor banger.

I still remember the first time I heard this song. It was at an exhibition in Zürich from Pipilotti Rist, but it was actually a cover version by herself. I knew, one day, I’ll also make my own version from it. And here we are now.
