We welcome the Italian artist Sardu with his Astris EP on Mirror Records. The title track Astris consists of a dark vibe punctuated by a high and haunting melody creating a very thrilling and captivating experience. The second track Polarity takes a more straightforward approach with a more repetitive melody, strong drums and heavy bass. On the flip side of the EP are two individual remixes of Astris. The first one by FREYA features many additional atmospheric elements and a captivating bassline. The second remix by Gizmo & Mac takes the listener straight into a shady warehouse rave full of bass, sweat and strobes. All in all, this is a heavy techno release not to be missed!

Alexander Schulz, 27 Jahre alt aufgewachsen in einer kleinen Industriestadt namens Cottbus entdeckte bereits im frühen Alter die Leidenschaft zur Elektronischen Musik. Einflüsse von Künstlern wie Carl Cox, Sven Väth, Richie Hawtin, Oliver Koletzki inspirierten ihn in die Kunst des Deejayings einzutauchen, woran er sehr schnell Gefallen fand. Angefangen unter dem Synonym „Alex Monoo“ sammelte er erste Erfahrungen in örtlichen Clubs und wurde schnell zum Resident des Funtasy Clubs in Cottbus. Heute ist er unumstritten unter dem Synonym „Alexander Schulz“ einer der beliebtesten Locals in der Lausitz und versteht es die Croud auf dem Floor abzuholen. Egal ob Opening, Primetime oder Aftershow, mit Gespür fürs Publikum und Location beweist er jedes Mal aufs Neue, dass er seine Tätigkeit lebt. 
Mit seiner musikalischen Vielfalt, einer eigenen Handschrift und dem Privileg, sich von den üblichen Sachzwängen freigeschwommen zu haben ist es schwer, seinen Style genauer zu definieren. Irgendwo zwischen Deephouse und Techno fühlt er sich heimisch. 
Mittlerweile arbeitet er an ersten eigenen Produktionen und spielt sein Lied in Clubs und auf Openairs über den Landkreis hinaus.
