Ali describes his sound as Melodic, Cerebral and Dark layered with effects, samples and some of his favourite street fighter combos as he likes to call it. His mixes are stories he puts together using some of his favourite tracks from his never ending collection through which he connects with the listeners.

If you’d try to find a single genre that classifies CHROMA’s sound, you’d definitely end up failing. Although this DJ/producer’s heart is beating for minimal, she can also easily drop in a 90s pop song into her sets, and it’s these kinds of exotic, unexpected sounds that merge with bouncy techno and deep house (and all permutations in between) that create an eclectic, yet unified, style.

3 QUESTIONS to JONAS SAALBACH:

Q: Talking about your mix. What do these tracks mean to you? How did they shape your career? 

A: To mix „How I Met The Bass“ was a super cool session and truly a flashback to 10 years ago, when I started to listen to electronic music. After I spent so much time with funky beats and the whole Hip Hop culture. For sure the tracks mean a lot to me as they were inspiring and laid to the foundation for my music career. 

Q: I´ve heard there is a new album coming up. Tell us more! 

A: Yes! I worked hard on my second long player ‚Perspective' the last couple of months and I´m happy about the result. It´s a ten tracker and will be release on my homebase label Einmusika Recordings 27th of March on CD and digital format. I would say it´s a well balanced mixture between electronica, melodic club tracks and hypnotic deep house grooves. 

Q: According to your b2b-Live-Act with Einmusik – are there any common releases planned? 

A: We did not plan studio sessions yet, as Samuel (Einmusik) is also working on a new album. But we will extend the back to back live session and combine our two new long players. I love this project and we will have a couple of cool gigs coming up in 2017 in places like Dubai, Cairo and Beirut.

Jonas Saalbach - HOW I MET THE BASS #44

Yves Murasca’s multifaceted style of house music stands tall on the international circuit, drawing from a myriad of musical elements spanning house to tech to deep and back. This German musical linchpin has cultivated his craft over years of experience; equally as at home in the studio as he is in the club behind the decks.

Whether it’s teaming up with the likes of Kittball Records or releasing on his own Déepalma imprint, Yves Murasca is a name in hot circulation. As a DJ, he’s spiced up clubs all over the world: from Europe to Russia, South, Middle and North America, not to mention festival appearances at prodigious events including Amsterdam Dance Event and Street Parade in Zurich.

Yet Yves comes from humble beginnings. Born and raised in a picturesque village in Southern Germany, he started out with music lessons at the age of 5. Soon after, as a teenager, his passion turned to 90s hip-hop acts like Gang Starr and The Roots, whose soulful handling of beats and bass would provide the inspiration and foundation for Yves’ love of big grooves, true soul and immersive atmospheres.

After a trip to Ibiza, Yves picked up the DJing bug and was booked consistently for the years that followed. The passion in the clubs soon crossed over to his productions and before long, Yves was able to boast some stunning releases ranging from ‘All About Housemusic’ on Milk & Sugar Recordings which sold out two Vinyl editions and whipped up thousands of downloads online, to more recently his ‘Hypnotize’ EP on Kittball with Rosario Galati. The EP provided two tech-house smashers that appeared on countless charts and received heavy rotation from top DJs in their sets – The most recognizable of which is Objektivity boss Dennis Ferrer who played out “I Don’t Need You” as an essential tune in practically all of his sets during summer 2016. Likewise Yves’ music has also been remixed by a flurry of reputable acts, finding new form by artists like Teenage Mutants, Dario D’Attis, Piemont, Simone Vitullo and Tapesh.

Alongside all of this, since 2013, Yves has launched and managed his own record label Déepalma Records featuring a growing number of distinguished producers such as Satin Jackets, Vanilla Ace, Lexer and Giom, not to mention championing several infectious compilation series that have chimed with fans all over the globe.

Add an ever growing set of accolades from across the board - making Traxsource’s ’Top 100 House Artists’ list or charting at #1 in Germany’s electronic iTunes album chart on numerous occasions - and it’s easy to see Yves’ innate ability to make, play and curate quality electronic music.

The story of Eulen aus Chrom is as mysterious as an owl staring into a moonless night. Some say the deep-house duo that is shrouded in legends started its path in Zurich. Inspired by the Berlin underground culture their music began to spread like a wildfire.
While they avoid  any  kind  of  publications,  rumors  have spread  that  they  have  been  spotted  in  many  infamous   clubs  all  over  Germany,  Switzerland and even at Burningman in Nevada. Nobody knows exactly what tools they  use  for  their  hybrid-live  sets and not even the Swiss photographer Roman Gaigg who portraited them  in one of his books was  able to take a glimpse behind the mask.
