Joseph Disco’s early education in beat science came as a resident DJ in Cologne’s legendary club Playground, where his regular opportunities to manipulate the dancefloor like a puppeteer quickly drew him into the sphere of music production. Shortly after returning to his native Munich, his first release with the project “DMS” on Great Stuff Recordings in 2005 opened the floodgates for a deluge of well-received releases. As half of the duo Micky Monzza and Joseph Disco, his resume grew to include a series of productions on labels such Great Stuff, Craft Music, Platform B, Stil vor Talent, Pineapple, amongst others. 2007 he released “Bounce Baby”, a collaborative house-driven effort with Tobias Lützenkirchen that gained worldwide acclaim on dancefloors and in countless DJ charts. The duo struck back in 2009 with the follow-up, “Synchro System” on Lützenkirchen’s own Platform B imprint, once again storming soundsystems and charts across the globe. With his name established amongst electronic aficionados, Joseph has gone on to entrench himself on the scene as a steadfast proliferator of high-quality works. Sporting an ever-growing cadre of solo releases and remix work on a multitude of labels, Joseph Disco has only given a tantalizing taste of his true potential.

As we get closer to our sister label PUZL Records 1 Year Anniversary celebration we couldn’t resist tapping one of their esteemed guests, Daniel Steinberg, to be apart of our mix series this week. A few years back our own MR PUZL came across the Steinberg’s Arms & Legs outfit and since then has championed their sound in his mixes, reviews and sets. Their unique blend of funk, jazz, hip-hop, soul and house coupled with their passion and longstanding presence in the scene has made them staple in DJ sets and radio shows worldwide. Steinberg’s recent collaboration with Oliver Dollar is yet another reflection of the producer’s esteemed career and ability to stay in sync with the constantly evolving landscape of our industry. 

While Daniel Steinberg may not be a household name here in the states (and in the deeply saturated market of Los Angeles even the world’s best and brightest can seemingly go unnoticed) he is certainly an artist we recommend you become familiar with. As always, we at LAMP stay firm to our commitment to not only shine light on local talent but those from cities and countries far and wide that inspire and influence our musical tastes. This one's causing massive mayhem for a reason!With Glide the dark side of Techno is taking over, pleasing pumping peaktime crowds with heavyweight bassdrums, a rolling sawtooth synth line and eerie stabs moving through the stereo field whilst distinct claps provide an additional punch to this ever morphing weapon of mass mobilization. Entering the code to the Drifter Marco Resmann unlocks a more uplifting Tech banger with slightly dubbed out qualities. Imagine staggered layers of pads, a field recorded atmosphere and big organic basslines falling together in the right place, creating a mesmerizing stream of sonic events that takes you right into the sunset and back within a little more than 5 minutes playtime.Finally Viaticum provides more of a scientific, spaced out approach to late night electronic music with its highly defined mid-range drums, buzzing sound sparkles and beautifully crafted out-of-this-world string sequence as a perfect backdrop for the tunes crystalline main motif. Following on from this is their first full EP on All Day I Dream. 
Each track casts its own unique spell. One thing Rami and Tamer know is mood. Opening with 'Straight To The Heart' beauty and hypnotic vibes abound. Sounding as good pitched up as it does at it's patient pace, it's groove ignites the dance floor as well as the heart. 

‚The Way Home’ takes it's time to build textures and layers creating a more somber mood. 

The EP is close out with the vocals of Eric Volta on ‚Sight’, perfectly complimenting the overall mood of the release.
