Plastic Robots, known for their innovative sound and presence on the Beatport charts, is a Brazilian duo formed by Nando Scheffer and Daniel Queiroz. Their music is marked by intense contrasts and energetic performances, having already performed at international festivals such as those in Russia, South Africa and Australia. Alongside them is Fab Massimo, a half-German, half-Puerto Rican producer, recognized for revitalizing Tech House with his dark sounds and energetic grooves. He is respected for his work on major labels such as Glasgow Underground and MixMash Records, in addition to being the founder of LOW CEILING.
“Mind Games” brings an instrumental composition with a layered construction. I played in the beautifull 'Ponyreithof' floor from WANNDA [https://soundcloud.com/wanndacircus] in the night from friday to saturday [0:30am-2am]. I enjoyed it really a lot there. 

The recording starts regulary 4 minutes earlier. Unfortunately I forgot to press the record button in time ;)

Special thanks to WANNDA, Robert, the whole Zuckeralm Crew, Kollektiv Liebe and for sure, to all the wonderfull people around there. And at least to my swedish friends Linus and Lente. You kicked ass!!!

Eigentlich war Kork schon immer ein Musiker. 
Im zarten Alter von 8 hielt er zum ersten Mal eine Violine in der Hand. 
Dieses wunderschöne Instrument sollte für 10 Jahre sein ständiger Begleiter sein. Unermüdlich wurden die Seiten gestrichen bis aus dem Katzengejaul ein ertragbarer Ton und später ein dem Ohr umschmeichelnder Ton erzeugt werden konnte.

Im Jugendlichen Alter kam dann die zweite große Liebe, die elektronische Tanzmusik dazu. Seine ersten Erfahrungen als DJ auf Geburtstagen fesselten ihn. Die Möglichkeit ein entscheidender Teil einer Party zu sein und die Stimmung von Menschen wandeln zu können ohne mit ihnen über Worte zu kommunizieren waren berauschend. Der Entschluss war gefasst, diese Leidenschaft würde die jugendliche Orientierungsphase überdauern und ein fester Bestandteil des „Ichs“ werden.

Nachdem er zunächst Progressive House gespielt hat, ließ er sich durch Konzertbesuche bei Fritz und Paul Kalkbrenner, Jan Blomqvist oder Boss Axis zum Deep House hinreißen. Jetzt wurde es Zeit dem Ganzen auch einen ordentlichen Namen zu geben und „Kork“ wurde ins Leben gerufen.
Es dauerte nicht lange, da wurde die elektronische Welt auch schon das erste Mal aufmerksam auf Kork. 
Mit seiner Premierenshow bei Soundwaveradio FM / London hat er direkt den bisherigen Zuhörerrekord des Senders überboten und 16000 Ohren erreicht. Seine Show „Travelling Abroad“ gehört mittlerweile zum festen Bestandteil des Senders.

Während seiner Show die zeitweise in über 50 Länder gleichzeitig gehört wird, wird auch musikalisch nicht auf Grenzen geachtet. 
Von Deep House über tech house bis hin zum harten Techno wird alles gespielt was frisch ist und vorantreibt. Natürlich schimmert auch immer wieder seine musikalische Anfangszeit mit dem geliebten Streichinstrument durch und verspielte melodische Einlagen finden ihren Platz in den harmonischen Sets.

2016 hat er den nächsten Schritt gewagt und ist dem jungen DJ- und Künstlerkollektiv „Deep Stories“ beigetreten, um seinen eigenen Weg nicht auf ausgetretenen Wegen gehen zu müssen. 
Man darf gespannt sein, was noch alles Geschehen wird.

Wie und wann seid ihr zur elektronischen Musik gekommen?

Wir haben beide vor mehr als 15 Jahren angefangen, uns intensiv mit elektronischer Musik zu beschäftigen. Als wir uns kennenlernten merkten wir sofort, dass wir uns musikalisch auf der gleichen Wellenlänge befinden. Dann gründeten wir zusammen mit Christoph den Klangextase Podcast und fingen auch an, zusammen aufzulegen und Parties zu veranstalten.

Welche musikalischen Momente sind euch besonders in Erinnerung geblieben?

Unser erster öffentlicher B2B-Gig ist schon eine halbe Ewigkeit her. Damals in Kassel im K19 heizten wir dem Club so sehr ein, dass es kein Halten (und kein trockenes Shirt) mehr gab. Weder für uns noch für die Partymeute auf der Tanzfläche. Das war ein fantastisches Erlebnis!

Wo konnte man euch bisher antreffen?

Neben einigen Gigs in Kassel haben wir in Hamburg die Villa Nova und das Moiré unsicher gemacht. Auch in Matthias’ Geburtsstadt Halle haben wir bereits bei der Tag am Meer Tour im Januar ordentlich Gas gegeben. Außerdem konnte man uns im letzten Jahr auf dem UckerAlm Festival zusammen spielen sehen und hören.

Gibt es Zukunftspläne?

Es gibt keine wirklichen Pläne für die Zukunft. Aber wir werden auch weiterhin hier und da auf Festivals und in Clubs anzutreffen sein. So steht z.B. fest, dass wir wieder nach Grünz auf das Oewerall Festival kommen werden. Auch München ist bereits im Kalender eingetragen. Dort werden wir zusammen mit Christoph das Zur Gruam aufmischen. Die Hauptsache für uns ist immer, Spaß mit den Gästen zu haben und sich selbst nicht allzu ernst zu nehmen. Damit fahren wir richtig gut, und werden das auch weiter so machen!

ike many others, Thomas contracted his passion for deejaying not only because of the music itself, but because of a huge interest in new ways of making music and the desire for mastering these ways. Nevertheless, the music was a rudimental element in Thomas' life since he was able to walk. After years of piano practice and because of a certain affiliation with Hip Hop, he eventually exchanged the piano with a microphone to become a MC, because entertaining others was always a priority for the young artist. But at the same time he also got in touch with the exzessive and legendary night life of Berlin. Thomas rapidly came to the conclusion that only electronic music in its essence is able to create pure hedonistic satisfaction without any conventions. Because he is thoroughly an entertainer as well, it was clear that his place was behind and not in front of the decks and so he established his project Thomas Maschitzke in 2012. His sound is most likely located in the deep house section, but its powerful and dreamy melodies paired with catchy beats give proof, what a one-of-a-kind artist Thomas is. In 2016, he realesed an in-house production for Suspekt Records and Rawls Music, right after releasing a remix on Submarine Vibes. Since then, it seems that the worcaholic can not be stopped, thinking of his personal highlight, his live-sets at Ritter Butzke and the Sonne Mond Sterne festical, for example. But not only on his own, Thomas is able to create an icredible vibe. Together with his friend and label head Konstantin Rausch, he started the collective Unbespielt in the beginning of 2017.
