October 13th 2017 sees the esteemed German Techno DJ/producer Oliver Huntemann find himself on the cusp of yet a new era in his career with the release of his fifth album entitled, ‘Propaganda’.

'Propaganda' is Huntemann’s fifth long-player, and like each of its predecessors, it shows a different side to one of the most consistently rewarding names in Techno. Huntemann explains, “The sound of Propaganda is more grown up, I’ve left the times of reducing to the max behind to create a certain atmosphere throughout the whole album. Of course most tracks work well on the dancefloor but the task was also to make them as interesting as possible for listening sessions - simply to reach another level.”

Released on his own Senso Sounds label, the album exudes the level of assurance that perhaps only comes with being so active in curating and developing a label that has stood out from the masses since its inception in 2014.

'Propaganda' opens with 'Taktik', and the mood is quickly established through crisp motorik drum programming and deep, pulsing bass lines. 'Poltergeist' - the 2nd cut, continues this aesthetic - a deep and spacious groover.

Clocking in at over 1 hour 15 minutes, the 12-tracker allows a lot of space for itself, each tracking having the time it needs to develop and unfold. 'Egoist' ramps up the feel somewhat with intricate melodies and effects, before breaking down into something that will destroy many dance floors. Yet the beauty of the album format is that it allows for various mood changes, and 'Malaria' brings us something of a shift into a more freaked out and edgy vibe, while 'Anonym' highlights Huntemann’s mastery of atmosphere, serving as an ambient / downbeat interlude. 'Rotlicht' is perhaps a standout for fans of Huntemann’s epic DJ sets, exhibiting all the control and release dynamic that make him such an engaging performer. It’s also clearly a key cornerstone for the entire album.

Next up is 'Absurd', followed by 'Manipulation' - both reference the exquisite sound design Huntemann instils into his precision-built tracks, while remaining primed for club use at all times. 'Momentum' switches up the tempo, perhaps influenced by more experimental, no wave and krautrock sources - and serving as punctuation before the album's final triptych. 'Vertigo' sees shimmering arpeggiated synths skip across a solid rhythm track, while 'Doppelgänger' builds a delicious tension through constant pads and pulsing, blocky bass tones. 'Trick17' ultimately rounds off 'Propaganda', - an expanse of emotionally charged techno with Huntemann’s signature feel woven into its fabric.

Info: "Musik ist wie mein Tagebuch" Hätte unsere geschätzte Erde eine Umlaufbahn und Neigung, die den Tag um einiges verlängerte, wäre René Bourgeois einer der ersten, die sich diese zusätzlich zur Verfügung stehende Zeit, sinnvoll zu nutze machen würde.

DJ – Produzent – Videoproduzent – Kameramann. Der in Dresden geborene Musikästhet ist umtriebig wie kaum ein anderer. Schon als blutjunger Teenager lauschte er den Geheimnissen von 16Bit, Art of Noise, Off oder Yello. Der Umzug nach Chaos-City, wie viele die Hauptstadt zu nennen pflegen, war ausschlaggebend für seine kommende musikalische Entwicklung. Von seiner Schwester unterstützt, sammelte René seine musikalischen Favorites auf Kassetten und Schallplatten. Seiner Zeit waren diese beiden Medien Luxusgüter im grauen Ostberlin. So sammelte er akribisch Musik, die seine Synapsen stimulierte und lauschte den kultivierten Klängen der Radiosender. Mit seinem Schulfreund Daniel Steinberg, gründete René ein Schulradio, um die gesammelten Werke zum Einsatz zu bringen. Wen wundert es da, dass auch für Daniel Steinberg – besser bekannt als Harry Axt – eine ruhmreiche DJ-Karriere die Folge war.

Als die Wiedervereinigung eingeläutet wurde, zog es René Bourgeois in die ersten Berliner Clubstätten. Schon kurze Zeit später, als der Kulturschock Techno ausgerufen wurde, fand er sich hinter den Plattentellern wieder. In dieser Zeit lernte er viele neue Leute kennen, die ihn bis heute als Freunde und musikalische Partner begleiten. Sascha Braemer-Hirtenfellner, der Kreativ-Produzenten und Labelowner, ist einer dieser Freunde. Mit ihm als Partner wurden erste gemeinsame Projekte aus dem Boden gestampft und eigene Musikproduktionen folgten schnell. Bis dahin verfolgte René Bourgeois leidenschaftlich aber ausschließlich sein Ziel, von und mit Musik zu leben. Als er im Jahre 2003 ein zusätzliches Kapitel in seinem Leben aufschlug: Kamera & Videoproduktion. Auch in diesen Bereichen verschaffte er sich schnell Respekt. Ende 2008 landete er mit "4myRecordz" (supdub) seinen bis dahin größten Erfolg als Produzent, mit diesem Wurf gelang ihm auch international der Durchbruch. Was heute hinter ihm liegt, sind mehr als 20 Jahre Liebe zur elektronischen Musik und ein Tagebuch mit unendlich vielen Kapiteln, wir dürfen gespannt sein, welches sich als nächstes öffnet.

Allies for Everyone aka New York City's Brian Suarez. He has been making tunes on and off in a variety of genres since the early 2000's. Brian has had a particularly productive 2016 with successful releases on Constant Circles, Einmusika Recordings and SOSO amongst others. 

His tracks are instantly recognisable with his trademark deep and emotive vocals on top of punchy four-by-four instrumentals.  Brian performs his original music live as well as DJing and a hybrid of the two.

Italian born, Gianmarco Limenta is one of the rising acts and influencers of the worldwide Deep House scene.
His professional DJ career started in 2001 and just a few years later, he was working in some of the most exclusive clubs in Europe.
With his innovative sets, he is able to create a unique, sexy and elegant atmosphere, making people fall in love with his music.
He is currently living in the beautiful city of Barcelona and he is the resident DJ at the W Hotel. He played alongside some of the most influent names of the Underground scene like Josh Butler, Chez Damier, Alaia & Gallo, Lovra, Cassius, Dario D’Attis, Full Intention, David Penn and many others.

Gianmarco’s music has been published on several labels, including Pacha Recordings and Crosswolder Records. In 2018, his track “Clear My Mind” has been used as the soundtrack for the Ibiza Pacha’s commercial of the club’s own children’s clothes collection.
2019 will see him push the envelope further on his productions, with original releases as well as a touring diary that sees Gianmarco play across Europe.

Als Pauli Pocket das erste Mal in einem Club spielte, musste sie ihr Vater begleiten. Sie war noch nicht Volljährig und ihr Platten brachte sie damals in einer Alditüte mit, so die Legende.
Foolik wurde bei seinem Besuch im Sisyphos so von der Energie des Ladens, dass es nur zwölf Monate dauern sollte, bis er gemeinsam mit Leon Licht selbst das erste Mal dort an den Decks stand.

Heute haben sich die beiden frei genommen und uns im Afterhour Stüble besucht, um uns ihre Version von gemütlichen Afterhour Flair zu präsentieren.

Known for his eclectic musical taste and taking people through various mainly electronic music genres Daniel's approach for the art:cast differs in many ways but still makes sense. Having compiled a rather deep podcast Bortz takes the listener back to his electronic music roots and technically to his early DJ days with providing a vinyl mix that keeps it classy almost classically Deep-House-esque over the course of the almost 90 minute lasting musical excursion.

Denny S is a Cologne based DJ, living there since 1989, feeling at home wherever there's good music in the air. This embraces deep house as well as tech house, melodic techno as well as cosmic disco, minimal or new romantic house. Working as a music and lifestyle journalist by day, the 42 years old sport scientist loves to spend the evenings listening to one of his electronic records. He is member of the Cologne partycrews „Zwischenmiete“ and „Tanz & Firlefanz“.
