SODAA Club is a community developing a decentralised governance model for a music & arts venue in London.

Their first release explores the foundations of their own sound - with members and friends of their commmunity, the 31-track compilation is "genreless and fluid, self-organised and bottom-up."

Inspired by the decentralised release of Alkisah by Senyawa, any label sharing similar values could release their own version : "the artists and the labels participating in this compilation believe in a more equitable and collaborative future for our scenes, one guided by principles of solidarity economy, distributed decision-making, and the rejection of capitalist notions of culture, music and space."

⬈ SWINE PREMIERE ⬉ We present the new track "Mont Blandin" by Brussels-based artist Emma Dowdy (@evanema) via @saldefete label

∎ Emma Dowdy is one of the monikers of Belgian producer and visual artist Gaspard Emma Hers. The sharp-cutting and yet fragile tones of their music sings to us about a radical shattering of the very borders of our known bodily reality, taking us on a journey deep inside haunted liminal spaces.

∎ Emma is producing a lot of music with different pseudonyms and under different, ever-evolving genres. In fact, there is no genre. For example, from their EP "Neuritis" on @terenor-records we can hear the incredible fluidity and inspiration from styles of hardcore dance music (or "hard dance"), noise, ambient, black metal and playing with strange sounds to create an eerie dungeon-like atmosphere. On "Mont Blandin" they perfect this unidentifiable ground between club music and music atmosphere.

[Swine Premiere] Emma Dowdy - Mont Blandin (Sal de Fête)

This is a piece I did for the french radio France Culture. 
I wanted to test the resistance of our hearing by destroying, altering and mixing together some easily recognizable sounds with my own creations.
The result is something like a strange dj set, where you get lost in between meaningless stabs of sounds and horrific abstract atmospheres.

About Arthropods

The soul is a fragment of a dream, the seed of future and past, evolving infinitely on the Arthropods* Continent. We seek out dreams and catch them, to scrape together the new Adam.

*1 ARTHROPODS： Arthropods is the alienation form of GOLEM*, and there is a soul in each metamere. They can upload, download, and link to each other.

*2 GOLEM：A golem is mythical humanlike figure made from clay and magically able to move on its own. In the Bible, Golem is an unfinished human being, without a soul. Through the process of its own evolution and its makers' experiments, a Golem can contain or generate its own soul. It can appear in different interconnected forms and reproduce itself at will. A golem with a soul, in order to speed up its own evolution, will sometimes supersede or devour the original form of life. The album Golem is inspired from this source.

‘I just wanted to make good UK Bass music' is what Francesco said to me as we spoke about his remarkably unique approach to electronic music. Considering the three-track sophomore EP, It is evident immediately that this initial incentive was one that he was quick to let go of. We started to notice this in a big way when his first EP 'Pianta Tenera' was sent to us. Our ears pricked up as we listened to this standalone producer amongst a sea of talent. It can be hard to distinguish between unique styles as easily these days; but there was no issue here.

Jaf Ge Nos makes his second appearance on NHS with a release that takes an even greater leap out into theatrical, psychedelic progressive territories that span across 3 starkly different pieces. Often jazzy, frequently emotively eclectic, moving and undeniably rhythmic, Jaf Ge Nos has dialed up the originality tenfold on ‘Un Discorsetto’ and broken through the chains of restriction (Not that he really had any before anyway, but you get the idea). Branching out of the digital realm and skittering into instrumentation to add a whole level of depth and individuality to already obscure sound. We have decided to dub him the 'Nektar of Bass Music'. It's as if Southern American rhythm entered into a deep loving relationship with Prog Rock and they conceived this litter of love children. It's like watching a film that is comprised of every genre in one sitting.

Jaf Ge Nos set out to assimilate into the UK Bass music scene and ended up further away than he ever intended; and we love him for it. Let him whisk you away on an adventure across the three epic stories that make up the ‘Un Discorsetto’ EP.
