Summer is flying by and it's time for our next compilation again. This time we have put together a large selection of artists for you whose sound we have been liking lately.

Downtempo is a very diverse music genre with many different styles and directions. As always, we want to address all these influences we like with our compilation and bring them under one roof. So there should be something for everyone on this release, whether to chill out on an open air or inside in the fog of the night.

We are very grateful to have represented so many different and talented musicians on our label and we would like to thank all artists involved. Especially our Mastering Engineer Haunted Water & Kilian Van De Water for the gorgeous Artwork again.

PRIMAL

Primal is an Icelandic electronic music producer and Dj based in Copenhagen.
The past few years, Primal has been involved with an electronic music project by the name of Kúra, featuring the Icelandic singer Fanney Osk.

Kúra, which became a widely recognized electronic act in northern Europe, offered an opportunity to explore new areas, ideas and genres. 
He eventually got introduced to the underground techno society by Just This crew.

Primal was then inspired to evolve his soundscape in new directions, resulting in a previously unexplored, darker universe with hypnotizing melancholic rhythms and heavy bass-lines.
The man behind Primal, Brynjar Bjarnfoss, was born in Reykjavík, Iceland where spent his early childhood years.

Since moving to Copenhagen at an early age, the music was always on the agenda. As a young adult he quickly got recognition in the Copenhagen underground electronic scene. He rapidly became a re-occurring act at various well renowned events, such as; Roskilde Festival, Distortion, Stella Polaris, STRØM and numerous clubs across Europe. He is currently featured as a newly implemented act of the Milano based Just This movement, and has recently cofounded the Just This record label.

Primal - Boundaries (Christian Löffler Remix)

LANDSIDE 

Landside is the  debut collaboration between Italian producers Hunter/Game and the Icelandic band Kúra.
The sound draws as much from the deep vibe and  melancholy ambience of Kúraʼs  reflective, dubby moods, as the more insistent groove of Hunter/Game's dancefloor roots.
Fanney Osk 's vocals  are like clear warm breath in a cold mountain breeze.  
Vibrating  waves are set against synths and melodic leads that break the languid feel like the arrival of an intense storm.

"A visionary journey into uncharted lands, ranging across uncrossed soundscapes, merging abstract atmosphere with boundless emotion" 
In this first remix EP, two wildly different producers offer up their own original takes.   
Max Cooper's remix is as gorgeous and melodic as always, setting Fanney's vocals floating over a sea of warm synth work and surprisingly driving percussion.  Benjamin  Damage, meanwhile, fires hard into the dancefloor, digging  a channel of tough grooves  within the ambient melodies and mellow vocals.

Lui et L'autre a duo composed of artists Mobi and Le Schiffre who are based in the Swiss Capital of Berne, they have been putting together some wonderful melodic productions over the past few months and we are pleased to Premiere this wonderful aternative mix by Mobi of their original Macrorave!

The first track is meant to be the 
awakening element on the EP of @cecilia_berlin. Bright, loud and rousing. The sharp and punchy analog kicks accompanied by wavy and flat pads determine the vibe.

La Loba shifts through the mountains and riverbeds looking for wolf bones, and when she has assembled an entire skeleton and the creature is laid out before her, she sits by the fire and thinks about what song she will sing. And when she is sure, she stands over the creature, raises her arms over it, and sings out, the wolf creature begins to breathe.

The two tracks stand for the familiar experience of the turmoil inside, and the foreign perception outside; how these perceptions are partly mirrored and partly distorted.

This is an interpretation of the great rumanian artist Microlab which we have learned to cherish a lot!

Cecilia Tosh's previous release 'Disorder' speaks of the wild chaotic inner life of the female being. 'Order' stands for the surface, the appearance behind, where this wildness often finds its hiding place. Ordered, balanced, adapted. In seeming harmony with the outside world.

The two tracks stand for the artist as the experience of the torn-ness on the inside and the external perception from the outside. How these perceptions are partly mirrored and partly extremely different.

As co-founder of SEV Berlin, Cecilia Tosh has established a powerful network that supports newcomer DJs and producers in club culture. Playing minimal, dub techno and techno Cecilia made her way through Berlin‘s world famous club scene since 2018. She is resident DJ at Kater Blau, and had various gigs at Golden Gate Berlin, Wilde Renate, Sisyphos, Garbicz Festival, Sputnik in Tel Aviv, Pergamon in Jerusalem, Crie de la Mouette in Toulouse and others.
