This is a remix I did for the track 34 Ghosts written by Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross. The original track can be found on the Nine Inch Nails Album Ghosts. Every sound was taken from the original multi-tracks and processed to create additional elements.

The Song Called DX7 (Yamaha DX7 demo)

The finished and longer version of the chiptune/8 bit sounds of "Five Times Four." I named the track from a dream that I had back in October of 2014 where the music was present. It had a quality to that of 8-bit synths found in the NES or the SID chip, and there was a tenner male voice that kept singing "five times four" with the music. I used a synth instead of actually singing during the process of making the track. The percussion is made with a combination of white noise and triangle waves. For chords and melodies, I use pulse waves at 12.5%, 25%,and 37.5% duty cycles, as well as sawtooth waves. (Recently I discovered that a 33.3% duty cycle is used more common than a 37.5, and sounds slightly different, but still very similar.)
