ササマシンイチロウのソロユニット、SANCHO MEISO CHAYA / 山頂瞑想茶屋。伝説的ダブバンドCultivatorの元メンバーであり、フジロックなどに出演経験も持つ。2000年代初頭にソロ活動を開始。「anoyo」「eden」など、ジャンルレスでコアなパーティーに多数参加、現在では「99Flags」を中心に活動する。ソロ楽曲を多数リリース他、「Lo Hype」名義ではIbadan Recordsよりアンダーグラウンドなハウストラックをリリースするなど、山頂瞑想茶屋名義以外でもプロデューサー、リミキサーもこなし、リリースも精力的に行っている。

2003年頃より”Nagisa Music Festival”や国内のRAVEカルチャーを一世風靡したあらゆるオーガナイズに携わる。 2013年に野外フェスティバル”Re:birth Festival”を始動。Techno/House/Goa & Psy Trance/Bass Musicなどを中心としたアンダーグラウンド・ダンスミュージックとARTがクロスオーバーするパーティを展開し続ける。その他、代々木公園で行われるフリーフェス ”春風”や様々なパーティの制作をサポート。”Space Gathering”が主宰するレーベル”Hypnodisk”や周りのアーティスト達と共にアナログシンセを使った音楽制作やLiveセッションも行う。また海外での活動経歴もあり、過去数回の世界各地で行われた皆既日食の”Eclipse Festival” には日本のパートナーとして出演＆制作に関わっている。
音楽とARTが作り出すサイケデリック空間の進化を探求し続け、近年は有機的なMinimal Technoを中心にTech HouseやBreaks系までを操る。Ambient/Electronica/Bass Music/Slow Groove/Droneなどまで幅広くミックスするフリースタイルも持ち味とし、小箱から野外フェスまで様々な場面で活躍している。

20 releases! That is no small achievement!
Greyscale wishes to thank it's loyal listeners with a special treat from their founder. grad_u went deep into the archive and has collected 12 unreleased before tracks ranging from 2006 to 2016. This goes back to the time of his very first releases up through to the beginnings of the Mood Series! In those 10 years there is a lot of various sides to the grad_u sound that this highlight's. From powerful bangers like 'Helix' and 'Nuclear Reactor' to dancefloor gems such as 'Biomechanics' and 'DX'. Then there are sure fire winners for the tech fans with 'Vacuum Cleaner' and 'Machine'. grad_u hasn't forgot those that love it extra deep with 'Taip Laukiu' and 'Bounce 06'. There is also a few special checkpoints along the way in this release that will help you bookmark all these great tracks. Half way through, check out the grainy outerspace static in 'Sputnik' and to complete the release, the powerful and immense beatless monster that is 'Thamu'.

:: 2010-2016-ig Universal Language név alatt játszik dj-ként és jelentet meg felvételeket olyan kiadóknál, mint a Lucidflow, Etoka Records vagy a hazai illetőségű Plug & Lay records. 
Saját munkái mellett 2013-tól Bios-szal közösen, DirekTorz néven alapítanak egy analóg live act formációt. Zenéik eddig a Lârm, Tapes Sublimating és Exiles kiadók gondozásában jelentek meg.
