TAU welcomes a powerhouse link up for our latest release. Italian duo Hunter/Game combine their creative energy with Øostil to form a supreme alliance. Both acts have long established themselves with the house and techno realm, bringing their unique flavours to a long line of releases and performances around the world. Their credentials are top tier and this new single demonstrates their prowess, with two alternate mixes including a spellbinding rework by Denis Horvat. Release epitomises the combined experience of these two talents, with crisp sound design throughout. An undulating bassline lures us into the mesmerising atmosphere, with hushed female vocals speaking in French and a repeated Release mantra. The tension builds steadily, as all the elements coalesce and complement each other, guiding us into a breakdown. After this point, the track continues in a similar vein, the low end maintaining its hypnotic grip as the seductive vocals drift in and out of the background. Denis Horvat steps up to remix Release, adding a harder edge, and more pump, to the energetic imprint. Horvats signature sound gives this its distinct vibe, utilising an array of unusual effects to send your brain into another dimension. The warped composition makes this a headtrip in itself. Denis considered approach creates moments where the energy plateaus a little, allowing the tension to build... Steel yourself for an extended breakdown, which explodes into a high-energy finale, where the push and pull culminates in a powerful climax. Finally, the Club Edit retains key elements from the original while taking things into slightly darker territory. Hunter/Game and Øostil offer a haunting reinterpretation of their track, with more impactful drum arrangement and higher energy all round. One for the 5am heads down crew...

The 115th release on Darin Epsilon's renowned imprint features a brand new original track by Rafa Silva, Chilean-born Berlin based artist and label manager of Perspectives Digital.

With a rich and varied background, Rafa Silva has always had an "infinite love for music and art." Drawing inspiration from his roots in rock bands and a deep passion for classical music, he has crafted a distinct and captivating musical style. Since beginning his music career in 2018, his sound has evolved and found a home on esteemed imprints such as Ritter Butzke, Zehn Records, Poker Flat, and the renowned Balance Music.

Rafa is no stranger to Perspectives, having remixed Cary Crank's "Roll the Dice" in February 2023, while his track "Tabula Rasa" was featured on Perspectives Around the World, Vol. 7 five months later. Now returning for his third entry, "Desires" opens with a running bassline, a whip-cracking kick/snare combination, and ticking offbeat hi-hats. Evolving smoothly, an arpeggiated plucked phrase sets the stage before a filtered analog motif adds melodic dynamism. A new bassline coincides with a mid-range key change, adding gravitas before a stripped-back breakdown allows various motifs to merge with a vocal pad. A huge snare roll builds anticipation, leading to a powerful drop where melody and bassline unite for maximum dancefloor impact.

Nihil Young has been a defining figure in Melodic Techno and Progressive House for nearly two decades. With close to 1,000 production credits to his name, the Italian producer's rise to prominence is undeniable. Boasting 325K monthly Spotify listeners and a place among Beatport's all-time Top 50 Progressive House artists, his career has been marked by releases on prestigious labels such as Toolroom, Vintage Culture, Purified, Odd One Out, Einmusika, Beatfreak, Zerothree, UV, and Paul van Dyk's VANDIT.

A familiar name and friend of the label since 2020, with remixes for Mehmet Akar and SHAZZE, Nihil returns to Perspectives a year after his high-profile original track "Night We Seek", featuring vocalist Robin Korsal and collaborator Unseen. His remix of "Desires" is a smooth and effortless reimagining that shifts the track's key while preserving its melodic essence. A grooved bassline variation propels the remix forward, complemented by a spine-tingling lead motif and carefully woven original elements. With a powerful rhythmic foundation and driving bass layers, Nihil Young delivers an outstanding rework, reaffirming his place as a master of his craft.

Rafa Silva - Desires (Nihil Young Extended Remix) [Perspectives Digital 115]

A Bonafide ICONYC future classic, Solique's "Ordinary Things" is a true staple of refined sophistication. Led by an instantly recognizable vocal, the austro-swedish project's tantalizing piece has enthralled dancefloors and festivals worldwide for months, and now, we're excited to give it the remix treatment as it goes under the surgical vision of Prague-based maestro Spada, Dutch alchemist Volar, and Irish provocateur Olive Hatake, plus an exclusive "Piano Version" by famed Italian concert pianist Luigi R. Gargano. 

On our first remix, Spada steps up to the plate with a gorgeous percussive foundation that sets a most flavorful mood before meandering flanger squelches uncover a warm bassline that gently invites us deeper inside this lush take on "Ordinary Things". Smoldering yet restrained, Spada's velvet-laced reinterpretation suddenly reveals a tantalizing break in the clouds as every element converges into the void, exploding in a splendid genesis of a third act where icy arpeggios intertwine, traversing endlessly across the piece in an unrepeatable sliver of bliss.

The second version of "Ordinary Things" comes courtesy of Volar, who devises a throbbing low-end pulse that runs amok through the grit. As mangled vocals lend a gloomy and mysterious feel to this reinterpretation, the Dutch producer reveals a tantalizing lead that slithers across the piece, drawing hypnotic figures in mid-air while leading to a showstopping core where everything dissolves into the ether before resuming its unstoppable midnight march.

Our final remix in this comprehensive package is a most unique take and showcases Olive Hatake's unmistakable sonic signature as the Irish artist reconfigures "Ordinary Things" into a full-blown technicolor skitterish hybrid. Driving Solique's dazzling original into new territory, Olive pushes the tempo and unleashes a myriad of cascading arpeggios that interlock with swelling synths and an earth-quaking bassline for a wild ride across Rainbow Road.

Wrapping up this gemstone of a remix package, Luigi R. Gargano makes a sensational debut on ICONYC with a much-cherished "Piano Version". Intimate as ever, this breathtaking delivery finds the famed Italian pianist lowering his defenses as he strips "Ordinary Things" to its naked core, allowing for its story to be told by a rummaging piano that walks across the halls of yesterday in search for answers it might never come to find.
