Periodista, gestor cultural, co-fundador del colectivo y Festival Sinsal, ex-director de Marketing Cultural de Red Bull España y DJ de dilatada trayectoria con mas de 25 años tras los platos recorriendo los principales clubes y festivales de España y Portugal, con contadas salidas internacionales.

Fué DJ residente y co-programador de uno de los clubs más destacados de la península: Vademecwm(Vigo). En 2003 participa en la Red Bull Music Academy celebrada en Ciudad del Cabo y en 2005 se incorpora a los departamentos de Comunicación y Cultura de Red Bull España, liderando proyectos como el escenario de la RBMA en el Festival Sónar de Barcelona. 

Colabora en diversas publicaciones y plataformas digitales siempre relacionadas con Cultura y Música. Impulsa eventos propios como el Festival Sona Gaifar (Nigrán) o la programación de Mondo Club (Vigo), de donde también es DJ residente.

Sus sesiones pueden abarcar sonidos de electrónica abstracta, Dub y apuntes tropicalistas, o cuando se trata de hacer girar la bola de espejos, House, Disco, Techno primitivo, Italo-Disco o New Wave. Un
bagaje musical que pasea por los principales clubs y festivales nacionales e internacionales como Moog, Nitsa, Razzmatazz, Siroco, Lanna, Sónar Festival, FIB, Monegros o Brunch in the Park.

Es por esto, y por otras muchas cosas más, que es todo un honor iniciar las Several Roots Series con un referente absoluto de la escena electrónica gallega y nacional, Viktor Flores.

“Si tuviera que explicar lo que hago de forma concisa, diría que se trata de música electrónica sintética, bailable y melódica”

JackWasFaster (Manu Cachero, Madrid) ha estado los últimos años aportando su granito de arena al efervescente panorama español, bien con sus releases/remixes en sellos como Rotten City, Factor City, Latido, Playground o Several Roots o bien con sus live/dj sets en Sónar, FIB, Brunch, Mad Cool, Paraíso, Mondo o Razzmatazz. 

Sus tracks han recibido el apoyo de sospechosos habituales como Andrew Weatherall, Massimiliano Pagliara, Curses, Terr, Echonomist o Mugwump. Por otro lado, su bagaje de banda (formó parte de Fira Fem la década pasada) le ha servido para afrontar los directos -con fuertepresencia hardware- con una perspectiva que no solo mira a la pista.
 
Sus producciones se caracterizan por la música de tempo sosegado, el beat firme y el sintetizador como elemento vehicular, asentándose sobre cuatro pilares fundamentales: el legado del mencionado Weatherall, la onda Salon des Amateurs, los arpeggios sintéticos y el acid. Aunque el envite es arriesgado, la idea es dejarse atravesar por este melting pot, intentando poner sobre la mesa algo que resulte -al menos- interesante.

En 2022 participa en el proyecto Cinetronik, componiendo música para las obras Un Perro andaluz y la Edad de Oro de Buñuel y llevándolo al directo en múltiples salas de cine españolas, de la mano de la compañía MK2. Esto supone un cambio de registro, dando salida a su afición por la experimentación sonora, el ambient y grupos como COIL.

Classic House Mix (Deep & Funky) | Vol. 1

Clase Sencilla es el nombre con el que Paulino Campos decidió nombrar su carrera como compositor y DJ.

Definir su sonido no tiene demasiado sentido, no trabaja con conceptos plenamente melódicos o estructurales sino a través de emociones puras, es ahí dónde reside la magia de estos proyectos.

La repetición, el ruido y la sensación de gravedad es la esencia de sus primeros temas que ponen un pie en el ambient y otro en la electrónica más escurridiza.

Como DJ, no tiene límites, se puede estar tranquilamente escuchando un set de ambient y electrónica con muy buen gusto o bien dejarte los pies bailando con cualquier tipo de set animado. De sus estanterías puede salir cualquier estilo, idm, ambient, electro...  Se podría decir que lo compra prácticamente todo, así que es muy fácil verlo flexible a la hora de poner música en cualquier lugar.

Con más de 20 años de experiencia, desde 2007 hasta agosto de 2013 ha sido propietario de un bar nocturno con mucha solera en el barrio de Poble Sec en Barcelona (Rouge). Durante un año y medio atendió la tienda de discos barcelonesa Cd Drome. Actualmente lo podéis encontrar en la tienda de instrumentos musicales Microfusa (Barcelona) y a los mandos del sello de música electrónica Sin Hilo.

Kresy takes over the decks for the next edition of the Retrofit podcast series. The Barcelona based youngin has been riding a nice wave after successful releases on Jimpster's Freerange Records and John Talabot's Hivern Discs, so we were more than happy to have him on board our most recent 12" along with Bristol's Borai. His contribution to the EP is a pair of flowing, atmospheric house cuts, and this mix follows along in a similar vein. Soundscapes and warm chords are the name of the game here - enjoy!

Retrofit Podcast #16: Kresy

En sus más de 20 años de carrera musical, Alejandro Rodríguez aka "Kresy", ha publicado sus producciones de house music en varios sellos de renombre internacional como Hivern Discs, Freerange o Shall Not Fade y ha figurado en los playlist de grandes de la escena como Steve Bug, Four Tet, Nick Höppner, Catz 'n Dogz o Jennifer Cardini.

Como dj ha recorrido en varias ocasiones las salas y festivales más importantes de España (Sónar Barcelona, Bilbao BBK Live, Nitsa Club, Razzmataz, Goa, Café Berlín, Piknik, Brunch Electronik, Electrosplash etc.) y ha actuado en algunos clubs emblemáticos de Europa como Panorama Bar (Berlín), Corsica Studios (London) y el desaparecido Throw (Amsterdam). 

Es el propietario del sello Discomaths y utiliza otros pseudónimos para lanzar sus producciones como Bep Kororoti (Hivern Discs, Modern Obscure Music) y Crazy Paris (música de stock para Artlist).  

Recientemente acaba de publicarse su última referencia en vinilo (finales de año en digital) para el sello Shir Khan Presents Black Jukebox de Exploited.

Coming in hot this summer is the curious “Magnetic” EP from French duo, Phantom Traffic. The versatile body of work spans across five various moods, crammed with unique movements and all leaning towards different genres and vibes. The “Magnetic” EP encapsulates what you can experience in a live performance from the live act pair, each and every time is different from the last. 23rd June will be the full release date, available across digital platforms on Nowadays Records, ready to make an emphatic mark on your music collection for the months ahead.

This innovative release kicks off with “Digital Express”, enormous chunky drums thunder their way throughout, combining with the depth of the pads and rippling shades of electro. “Alarm” has a distinctive atmosphere from beginning to end, teased with house strings. You find yourself in rave territory in “Overload”, picking up the pace with an energetic 7 minute trip for the trained ears amongst us. The aptly named “Acid Recall” utilises a mind bending acid line from the word go, a pensive journey as the rapid drums begin to drive the track into the hazy hours of the night. Showing no signs of slowing down is the final track “Pulsion”, abrupt and in-your -face action, reminiscent of an industrial warehouse you have found yourself immersed in at a previous time.

Since their first live at the Ferme du Bonheur, they have performed at the likes of Texture Festival in Rennes, alongside Kettama and LB aka Labat, at Rex Club and the Sacré in Paris, without forgetting the Îlots Électroniques in Tours, the Bikini in Toulouse, Paco Tyson in Nantes and for the 5 years of Super Daronne at Square Dom-Bedos in Bordeaux.

Ático Corp. empieza a interesarse por la música electrónica a principios de los 90, escuchando eurodance hasta mediados de la década donde descubre estilos como el electro, el techno, el house y sobretodo el breakbeat, sonido predominante en el sur en esa época. 

A partir del año 2000 empieza a comprar vinilos y aprende a producir. En 2005 edita su primer 12" en el sello de electro Hardware y posteriormente crea su propio netlabel, Shoxcorp. 

Después de abandonar la música por motivos laborales, en 2010 vuelve a producir y crea junto con R.I.P. Bestia el sello UFC (Un Futuro Creíble) en 2020, un sello en formato vinilo para dar cabida a las producciones de ambos con un sonido orientado a los breaks, el electro, el trance y la cyberdelia.

At some point in the early morning the collective pulse in the room shifted. Gone the rollercoaster of the peak hours. Sweat gave way to the fog of the hazy hours, and the crowd has evolved to those in need of undulating epiphanies. This is the stage on which fabric92 unfolds.

"I love playing every hour of the night. However the late hours seemed strangely under represented within this series, and I thought it would be good to start there instead of using this opportunity to add another peak time chapter to the collection."

In a few years this versatility has marked the London born Call Super as one of the brightest new lights on the DJ landscape. His rise has been steady and remarkable, reinforced at every stage with music that draws on a panoply of influences. The son of a New Orleans jazz clarinetist, his curiosity for music was driven by a childhood playing Spanish guitar and the piano before being burnished through teenage revelations in the London club scene.

"The fabric mix series has played an influential role in my learning of my craft. As influential to me as the club itself. The discs recorded by Ellen Allien, Craig Richards, Robert Hood, James Murphy and Pat Mahoney all taught me quite distinct things about track selection and pacing that I think about to this day. The John Peel one became an elegy that I still remember him by as much as his radio shows that I used to listen to. Because of this I wanted my mix to do a few things. Primarily I wanted it to be highly personal, a Polaroid of my way of mixing records. Because my own technique has been influenced by other discs in the series, I had to capture the way I sometimes play in a club."

And that is what this mix is, the sound of a DJ who has drawn in so much in finding their own voice. Records layered and sliced with a deft array of techniques and a singular vision for the room and the time they are operating in. fabric92 eschews the common computer based approach and gives the listener a snapshot of a misty reality. Music should give you a better context for the everyday, it should elate, it should make you angry, sad, it heightens life. This understanding is at the root of Call Super's work, though with this recording he puts it differently:

"For the listener, I simply wanted the music to take you out to sea so we could watch the weather together. This isn’t about getting beat upside the head, this is us dreaming in the dawn."
