Here’s a playlist that is a (still growing) mass of music that I feel fall under the EXTREMELY LOOSE umbrella I call “progressive digital fusion.” There are likely solid chunk of songs on here that may totally fall outside of that genre, but sit in this playlist for the sake of enjoyment.

“PROGRESSIVE DIGITAL FUSION”

There lies a giant castle made entirely of ice in a certain middle of nowhere, surrounded by a blizzard which never seems to end. They say no two people who enter its doors ever experience the same journey, for the castle's icy mirrors reflect only each individual's own unique, precious memories from their past. Within, the traveler becomes utterly entranced by the vivid and seemingly very real projections on the mirror. Perhaps this is part of the castle's spell. With an outstretched hand they long to feel these memories, to relive them again -- only to be met by the mirror's cold, unyielding surface. The traveler has no choice but to witness their past lives simply as a spectator from afar, forever.

This was track 1 of 2 which I submitted for the #maj7 discord 2021 showcase. This was created near Christmas-time last year when wintery vibes were still abound.

Artwork is taken from an indie jrpg named Light Fairytale, which this song has no relation to and was merely used as inspiration.

This song is a huge departure from what i normally make; I've listened to so much C418 that my brain chemistry has been altered so that I can't make chill beats anymore, just bangers
I hope y'all like this one as much as I do, I think the mixing and instrumentation are some of my best! If you like this, definitely check out "forever" or "Shrimp Bay".
Expect more like this moving forward, though maybe I'll try out some more April Showers adjacent lo-fi.

"You arrive in the early afternoon, drawn to the dockside markets where fish peddlers sell their morning draw. Here, on the outskirts of the Empire, you catch an intermittent glance of a militant-priest doing their best to maintain order amongst the crowd.  It's a small town; aside from the occasional thief, you get the impression that the people here are doing their best to get by peacefully.

As you breathe in the seaside air, a young figure in an embossed reed hat approaches you and introduces herself as a local thaumaturge.  From the way she appraises the usefulness of the relics within your knapsack, you get the impression that although her talents for the divine exceed your own, she probably thinks a bit too highly of herself.  At least your brief coastal stay won't be without engaging conversation.

Eventually, she bids you farewell.  As you watch the sea rise and fall, the sounds of the crowd begin to dim, and you meander over towards your designated lodging for the evening."

Another oldie! This one is an OHC - or One-Hour Competition - entry I made a few months ago that got 1st place (out of disappointingly few entries). I still very much like it, and so do many of those who heard it so far, so I thought I'd share it here.

Unlike Creepy Crag, this isn't a hardware recording, due to the Namco 163 sound chip's frustrating tendency to ruin people's ear drums when all eight of its sound channels are activated.
