Forming in the summer of 2010 when brothers Brent and Kurt Thomson began writing music with high school friend Terry Greisbach. Fresh out of high school and with minimal knowledge of their instruments the trio began writing material for what would become GOODNIGHT MIDNIGHT.

After 30 auditions to find a vocalist the trio were caught off guard by Jemma Steadman with her astonishing range and abilities, the band completed with the addition of Billy Schnitzerling (Guitar).

Having performed their first show in August 2011, with 3 members taking the stage for the very first time ‘Our first show was huge! Sharing the stage with Chasing Ghosts, For This Cause, Mayfair and Burning Brooklyn to a nearly sold out show, definitely raised the bar for our performance and music. Since then we've never stopped aiming for a better performance to watch and kickass songs to hear live.’ - Jemma

The band began turning heads with their blend of Rock and Punk beats, with flowing melodies and harmonies over the top and of course the battle on stage between the female and male singer that is definitely something not to miss.

Fast forward to 2013 GOODNIGHT MIDNIGHT bunkered down at Loose Stones Studios (The Butterfly Effect, Dead Letter Circus) on the Gold Coast with producer Tyse Lee to work on their debut EP. ‘The rooms have an amazing setup and you can really focus on what you're there to do and vibe in. While recording you're able to see the big picture that anything is possible in there which Tyse Lee showed us. And we've definitely grown from that experience as a band and as individuals ‘. - Kurt

The bands Second single [H]eartless is the perfect reflection of GOODNIGHT MIDNIGHT’S new energy and creativity with melodies, yet just the beginning.

‘This song was written about someone who had lost hope in themselves because of things out of their control and it's us singing to them and reaching out saying don't give up on yourself, we'll be here, there are still things to live for, don't shut us out. The bridge is the person realising they're worth alot more than shutting down.’ - Billy

In their short time the band have shared the stage with the likes of Wolfmother, Hawthorne Heights (USA), These Kids Wear Crowns (CAN), The Mission In Motion, A Sleepless Melody, Cartel (USA), We Rob Banks, Take Us To Vegas as well as headlining their own successful shows.

Australian pop rock band, Set The Record debuted in 2012, bursting onto the scene with their punchy, energetic performances, and catchy, pop punk infused songs that echoed vibes of artists like New Found Glory, Jimmy Eat World and Paramore.

The quintet from Brisbane continued making waves in 2013, working with Electric Sun Studios in Sydney (Tonight Alive, Stand Atlantic, With Confidence), recording their second EP, ‘Above the World’. Fans made the debut single ‘Real’ trend #1 nationally on Twitter, leading to mainstream radio play on Austereo’s network.

Continuous touring throughout the country earned the band opportunities to open for international acts The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus, The Maine, Relient K, Cartel, and AS IT IS.

2021 has seen STR back in the studio, releasing raucous new music, videos, and performances, breathing a fresh onslaught of noise back into the live scene.

2014 has been the biggest, busiest, most exciting and challenging year for the Take Us To Vegas boys to date. The band has recently finished recording their new "soon to be released" album at STL Studios on the central coast of NSW, Australia. This has them all busting to be able to show the world what they believe has been yet another massive step forward in honing their sound and musical maturity.

Take Us To Vegas (TUTV) has spent 2013/2014 on the road in support of bands such as Story Of The Year (USA) Northlane, Senses Fail (USA), The Getaway Plan, The Plot In You (USA), Dance Gavin Dance (USA), Heroes For Hire, Texas In July (USA), Behind Crimson Eyes, Shihad and Closure in Moscow among a multitude of others, further solidifying their place among these seasoned acts. The highlight of 2013 was playing at Brisbane Vans Warped Tour!

Take Us To Vegas have grown dramatically since their formation in 2010, not just in regards to their music development, but in their attitudes and the way they understand and respect this extremely tough industry. With headline shows becoming bigger, more support slots for bigger bands, and fans becoming more and more loyal, the boys are excited for what the future holds. An example of just how loyal the TUTV fans are; the boys recently created a 40 day pledge campaign to try and raise $10,000 to help for the release of their upcoming album, and to their disbelief smashed the target in just 9 days.

TUTV are super busy preparing for the release of their new album with all the usual business underway that comes with it like artwork, pressing and video clips, but they are also hugely focused on getting ready to hit the road and hit the road HARD to tour the album, because that's where their passion is. 

“The energy from the stage was unmatchable. The band are extremely involved in their performance and were an absolute delight to watch. Especially seeing how involved and hyped up their audience was. I don't think I've seen that much energy during a band at POW! in a while now. Even though I've never heard them before, I was compelled to bop along and even sing along to their catchy hooks, seeing almost an entire venue doing the same is a little influential as well...”
