
The Roomkeepers were brought together by a shared desire and passion for the craft that is writing and playing music. The band centres on Eoin McCabe (lead vocals, guitar, and piano), a veteran of the trade with decades of experience both at home in Ireland and overseas, whose playful, artistic energy stems from a singular vocation, evident to all who witness him play.

Formed in early 2014 in Drogheda, Ireland, the group further builds on the talents of Jamie Carolan (drums and percussion), Bob Smith (bass and backing vocals), as well as multi-instrumentalist Lorcan Cosgrave (violin, guitar, and piano). In this formation they bring to life a distinct, layered and complex sound, which McCabe describes as ‘melancholy to hopeful.’

The varied abilities of all members give the band plasticity, allowing for shifts between sounds and instruments, thus transcending narrow classifications of style and genre. The songs they produce resonate with movement, transition and emotion: the raw materials of all of life’s journeys.

Since their formation sixteen years ago, Drogheda three-piece Geriko have forged a distinctive musical repertoire. With a passing salute to old-style champions of rock’n’roll such as Led Zeppelin and Rory Gallagher and some dance, reggae, blues and funk thrown in for good measure, the Geriko  sound can best be described as bawdily pure and blisteringly energetic.

The boys from Geriko have for years now wrote and performed their own material. They have worked steadily providing backing and session music for other Irish artists.  From 2008, the band have worked as backing musicians for singer/songwriter Eugene Donegan, recorded on his debut album Little Apples, played his subsequent promotional tour and are working with him ón his forthcoming album. During the same period, they worked extensively with Declan O’Rourke as he toured Ireland and also with Dublin band Jaded Sun as they toured Holland.

  To quote Robbie Robertson “The Band had been together for 16 years together on the road. We played eight years in bars, dives and dancehalls, eight years in concerts, stadiums and arenas. “. Well they've had 12 years, and maybe not yet the stadiums and concerts but they have played places like The Spirit Store in Dundalk, Whelans in Dublin to Dolans in Limerick and An Cruiscín Lán in Cork to name but a few. They have also played an eclectic range of support slots at the Ambassador (Stone Roses Experience), The Spirit Store (The Frank and Walters), McHugh’s (Jerry Fish and the Mudbug Club), Fusion (The Blizzards, Republic of Loose), The Purple Room ( Whipping Boy) and the Academy (Declan O’Rourke).

Beginning my production career after a few years DJing, I dived deeper into the world of electronic music from the age of 16.

From trance and tech house all the way through to dub techno and deep house, I studied electronic music to the depths of where I am at today. I create a style of dubby, dreamy, deep house.
