Finally managed to record a DJ-Set again at an event with which I am happy enough to upload :) 5 to 7 on a sunday morning is actually one of my favorite timeslots to play as it offers the chance to play dynamic sets that guide the dancefloor from night to light ...

In the end of september this year I had the honour to witness a true underground gathering deep in the bavarian woods, in close proximity to the alps. It was a great pleasure to see many friends in this amazing place and I am super happy to have a proper nighttime set of mine recorded which represents the style & artists I like to play these days (or better: these nights ;) )

It was the 2nd time that I had the honour to be at Kosmos Festival with a 10 year break in 2015. The festival is still stunning and has a very special own vibe, being located close to nowhere in the Finish forests. As I arrived, I was asked by my friend and one of the main organizers if I could fill a gip of another DJ who could not make it in time due to flight issues. So within a bit less than an hour, I thought of some music to play after the opening of the Vortex Stage, including a live performance of artists and acrobauts on the dancefloor :) So please, have a listen and decide for yourself if this could be a suitable 2nd set of the festival.. Artists in no particulra order: Braincell, Virtual Light, Scorb, Module Virus, Illegal Machines, Ajja, Fungus Funk and many more ... 

sG4rY @ Kosmos Festival 2025 (Vortex Stage)

This year I had the privilige to play a DJ-Set at Momento Demento Festival in Croatia after the Greek Darkpsy Duo Quadraphonic (Antonymous and Tromo) at 7 am on Thursday, the 28th of July. Momento Demento this year was a milestone in the developement of a Psychedelic Trance Festival Culture for me. Organization, Infrastructure, soundsystem, the genereal vibe as well as the crowd were truly amazing and have been setting new standards for what is possible within our scene. I am already more than curious how they will try to top that next year :) Tried to play a very dynamic set, slowly but steadily decreasing the pace from start to end by 7 bpm, bridging the gap from Dark Psy to Daytime Fullon.. A few Artists incorporated are Yab Yum, Chromatec vs Kasatka, Illegal Machines, Virtual Light vs Zentrix, Purist, Dsompa, Ianuaria, Spectralis, Mechanical Species, Sychotria, The Skeptozoids, LAB vs Hydrae (in no particular order).

The legendary Sonica Dance Festival took for the first time place in the beautiful valley of Tramonti di Sotto in Northern Italy. The stunning landscape, the mild climate and the crystal clear water equally contributed to the festival such as the well balanced and very tasteful line up (with 9 Sangoma Records acts involved !!). I had the honour to play in the first night of the festival, before one of my favorite forest-music producers these days, Meerkut from France. I must say have not had such a vivid and euphoric dancefloor in a long time, Italians truly know how to party and channel their first-night-euphoria into some truly exuberant dancing-activities. Thanks to everybody who made it! sG4rY is an anthropologist, general adventurist, humorist, academic scholar and Psychedelic Trance DJ with more than 15 years of international experience, residing in Bavarias beautiful capital Munich. 

He represents the well-known music label Sangoma Records since it was founded in 2011, being responsible for its first Various Artist release in 2012 (VA - Multi-Faith Mantra) and currently working on another release with a well known Bavarian Darkpsy Label ;) 

His heavy itchy feet syndrom, his taste in a wide range of styles in Psychedelic Trance and the lust for encountering new like minded psychonauts has led him to perform at events such as Antaris Project (Germany), Hilltop New Years Eve (Goa/India), Mo:Dem Festival (Croatia), Kosmos Festival (Finland), Sonica Dance Festival (Italy), Universal Religion (Nepal), Trimurti Festival (Russia), Waldfrieden Wonderland Festival (Germany), Yaga Gathering (Lithuania) and countless other events around Austria, Cambodia, Costa Rica, Croatia, Czech Republic, Finland, France, Greece, India, Italy, Japan, Lithuania, Malaysia, Mexico, Nepal, Poland, Russia, Slovakia, Slovenia, South Africa, Switzerland, Singapore, Thailand, Turkey and the Netherlands.

Creating a journey sui generis for his listeners is his biggest aspiration. Psychedelic Trance has to be approached from different angles, using the many colourful vibrations it offers. Therefore, sG4rY likes to play sets as long as possible in order to draw from the different musical influences he gets from befriended artists, musicians and freaks around the globe. Nightly journeys that disscolve towards the first glimpses of the new day as well as sending the crowd into the night with a powerful kick off, or even sunny variations with non-cheesy hypnotic daytime trance are all part of his repertoire. He loves that special energy during sunrise and sunset on the dancefloor and tries to use it for involving the crowd into a flow of certain feelings and sensations, sometimes humorous, sometimes gloomy or filled with deep emotions. His numerous various artist releases over the years on different labels mirror this passion for muscial variety and expression.
