OQO means balance. This coastal Canadian trio sounds like a ménage-a-six between Yann Tiersen, Sigur Rós, Beirut, Gogol Bordello, Cinematic Orchestra and Phillip Glass. The band writes original, cinematic, operatic folklore for Accordion, Violin, Voice, Contrabass and the occasional Synthesizer.

Ian Griffiths on Accordion and synth, Keith Rodger on Upright Bass and Jacques Mindreau on Violin and Voice have been enchanting audiences across Canada with performances at Arts Wells Festival, Tiny Lights Festival, South Country Fair, Deep Roots Music Fest, Market Fest, Market Collective and dozens of others.

OQO is made up of members from two prominent Canadian folk bands, The Tequila Mockingbird Orchestra and Krasnogorsk. Originally a duo, OQO began as a collaboration between Accordionist, Songwriter Ian Griffiths and Violinist, Composer, Vocal Virtuoso Jacques Mindreau. The pair were joined in 2014 by Mount Royal University Jazz Performance graduate Keith Rodger on Upright Bass.

OQO toured the Kingdom of Cambodia in January and February of 2015 a trip that would take them on a 500km motorcycle adventure through the South East Asian country side and to the ancient ruins of Angkor Wat where the band performed and shot a music video. The group’s first Asian Tour the opened their eyes to extreme disparity and but also the resilience of the human spirit and the ability for art to empower. They performed at orphanages, schools in poor neighbourhoods and taught music to disadvantaged youth at Music Arts School in the nations capital Phnom Penh.

Juno Award-winning fiddler Ashley MacIsaac is a ferocious fiddling talent & genre-bending music prodigy. Lefthanded MacIsaac grew up playing traditional Celtic music and learned from the local masters in his native Cape Breton Island. His playing drew the attention of such prominent musicians as Philip Glass, Paul Simon, and David Byrne, and those connections helped attract growing interest from the Canadian music industry. MacIsaac signed a deal with A&M Records and released Hi How Are You Today? in 1995, breakig  through the mainstream and going double-platinum in CD sales. The album’s eclectic combination of virtuoso traditional fiddling, modern dance rhythms, and punk rock edge knocked purists on their ears, producing mega-hit “Sleepy Maggie,” a collaboration with Cape Breton Gaelic singer Mary Jane Lamond, that became a Top 10  hit in  US,Canada,Japan and Europe with international radio play ,regular slot on MuchMusic and constant live touring made Ashley an instant Canadian icon. In 2010, MacIsaac performed at the opening ceremonies for the 2010 Winter Olympic Games in Vancouver.

LadyK is a veritable musical force in the Comox Valley, Vancouver Island.  She has been DJ'ing regularly for 15 years, producing for 7 years and producing the Sexy Lady Show for 3 years.  Her musical vibe includes Afro and bass house, Amapiano, hip hop, r&b and more.  During her own shows she DJ's throughout while also performing solos and doubles on the pole, as well as group finales.  She competed nationally in the Canadian Pole and Aerial Championship in 2024, placing 3rd in her division.  All of her performing dancers have also graced the national stage.

LadyK and em.ash released an EP in 2023 on RF Records titled "Umusa," featuring remixes by Aspen King and Rennie Foster.  She also has previous releases on Union Records as well as ISAVIS Records, both Italian labels.  They are currently working on another EP featuring risque spoken-word poetry; the first track is entitled "My Sex is Electric."

LadyK has been unabashedly expressing her own fierce sensuality in an effort to inspire others to do the same.  She embodies divine feminine empowerment in her unique artistic expression as a DJ, pole dancer and producer.
