Advice for the DJs, producers and artists of our community: Take your time, trust in yourself, be patient. It should be about the music only. 

About the mix: When moving countries this year, I had a bit of an annual crisis about how to balance developing my sound while staying true to my musical identity. During the year, I took a lot of time to dig a bit deeper while staying in the realm of progressive house, landing for the most part in the early 2000s. This mix showcases some of my favourite tracks I found while doing so, now more confident than ever in the music I play. When putting this mix together, it was all about including hidden gems, dancefloor weapons and bold basslines to close out 2024 in a strong way, all the while taking a similar approach to curating a club closing or peak time set.

 The Milan-based producer makes his debut on the label with Weirdo Jelly EP, offering a fresh take on electronic dance music that is both adventurous and mysterious but elegant nonetheless.

Puddings, Wensleydale, Tea, Kitsta. What do all of these things have in common you might ask? Well if you said they’re some of Yorkshire’s greatest exports, you would be spot on! So we thought why not celebrate our 20th mix in style this March, with mix from the northern producer/DJ herself.

Originally residing out of that little house in the middle of the M62, Kitsta has quickly made a name for herself through her combination of glistening euphoria, mixed with dark grooves. Now London-based,  she's continuing to hone her sound with her music finding a home on labels such as GODDEZZ, Borne Fruits and Dürüm Records, as well as her own Megababes imprint (not to be confused with the people who made Push The Button, that was Sugababes). Through the co-running of The Beatriarchy, Kitsta helps provide a platform for artists from underrepresented groups and facilitates regular Open Decks & workshops, throughout the U.K. In the midst of all of this, Kitsta is a monthly resident on Voices Radio, 1/3 of Rat Rave and is playing regular shows around the U.K. and Europe, even supporting the likes of Ben UFO in the 0161 within the coming month.
