Quentin D James also known as “Sargeant Q” or “SGT Q” was born on January 1st, 1987 to a mother of Native American and a father of Creole descent, respectively. Quentin was relocated and later raised in Providence, Rhode Island from 1988-2000. At the humble age of 16, pursuing his musical passion he joined a go-go band named “Black passion” in Largo, Maryland, where he chose to relocate in 2000. It was during his time with “Black passion”, that he knew music was to be a part of his core and decided to pursue becoming a musician. Having a big break in 2008, Quentin was signed by the New York label, “Capital Hustlers”, having offices all over the world, they had one in Washington, DC close to where Quentin resided in Maryland.
Since 2017, Quentin’s music has been aired on multiple internet radio stations including but not limited to hip-hop radio stations in the United Kingdom and Guam. Following all the hard-earned success, 2020; Quentin is working on an EP album that touches on the struggles of the African American community to try and speak to a larger audience. This album is being engineered by Beau Vallis.
