Some say it has endured it’s fair share of distractions, detractors and defectors. Some say it has murdered itself, having been abandoned by its so‐called best men, those who have gone off in other directions, or who have, simply, just beat‐retired. Yet, there are plenty of Soldier Monks still out there, prepared to sweat it out in the Temple of Machinery and Mics.
Low Cut honored this cause four years ago, with his MPC crafted minimalist version of NY Minute and he’s back to ring the bells and unsheathe the samples!

The starting point of Dead End’s production remains the 90’s boom-bap, but the will to carry it even further brings it to its destination. By decorating it with rich samples flushed out after digging through vinyls pressed several decades ago, it is guided by a compass pointing deposits to the East. With sound quality inherited from a fastidious composition and mix works, using inspiration rather than just being a copycat, Dead End celebrates it without setting it up as a museum piece.

Picturing the beatmaker stuck in the depths of a dark alley, ended with a brick wall, is easy. But far from isolated in his Parisian basement, Low Cut has rung phones in New York, Baltimore and Detroit, rounding up the faithful. He
magnetized the hidden but sharp forces, and gained attendance of legends. The casting of Dead End : Ruste Juxx & Nutso, Dirt Platoon, Guilty Simpson, Torae, Rasheed Chappell and the stainless Masta Ace, among other beat crushers. Also starring DJ Duke, Nix’on, Topic and Ordoeuvre with their DMC titles crates, for a deep beatfight on bars scarified of scratches.Heavy atmosphere, martial beats and street soul, Dead End is also the final episode of the projects initiated by Low Cut, based on the model of a producer inviting various MCs.He will then replace his turntable needles, refresh his sample banks, and settle the BPMs of his productions on more abstract frequencies.

The NYC rap duo of Darkim Be Allah & Endemic Emerald deliver that pure, raw, uncut hip-hop with their new album, Antediluvian King. We’re talking thoughtful, rewind-worthy lyrics from the former Wu Tang Records signee, with dusty, sample-flipping production from Endemic. It makes for a project that sounds and feels altogether timeless, a vibe that certainly was at the root of their creative process.

While the hard-hitting truths of “The Lockdown” are certainly relevant and speak to so many current issues, the majority of the album was actually recorded prior to the civil unrest and pandemic that have shaken the country. That’s because the two artists had linked years back—and even recorded a lost album together—with the knowledge that they were meant to connect for an entire project.

That’s what brings us to Antediluvian King, which conceptually speaks to a time taking place before a biblical flood (which is unbelievably prescient). And while there are numerous layers to unpack within the album’s ten tracks—like the single “God of the Universe” with Planet Asia—everything on here is straight heat. Darkim’s voice and flow are the perfect match for Endemic’s organic instrumentals, whether it’s the feel-good nostalgia of “Doing It,” grimy aesthetic of “BX-QB” featuring Tragedy Khadafi, or contemplative vibes of “Knowledge & Wisdom.”

There’s so much to dig into with Antediluvian King, and it’s hopefully just the first of many collaborative releases from these two true school, like-minded artists. Shabaam Sahdeeq is a hip hop artist from Brooklyn New York City that has featured along side music icons such as Pharoahe Monch, Mos Def, Eminem, Busta Rhymes, Red Man, Method Man, Kool G Rap, Common, Talib Kwali and more. Sahdeeq is internationally recognized for his work on the classic Soundbombing & lyricist lounge series.

In 1998 Sahdeeq collaborated with DJ Spinna . Mr complex & Apani B to form the group Polyrhythm Addicts. "Rhyme Related" their first album which exploded on the Independent hip hop scene and gained an overwhelming critical reception, and paved the way for their solo careers. They came back together in 2007 for their second album "Break Glass" with new member Tiye Phoenix

In 2001 after the success of Polyrhythm Addicts first album Sahdeeq was catapulted into stardom from the "Simon Says" remix with Pharoahe Monch and multiple releases during Rawkus records glorious golden era. Sahdeeq has since released several albums projects, Mix tapes and videos, and also appeared at some of the biggest hip hop festivals in the world. He is regarded as One of New York's top underground artist.

Sahdeeq is currently setting his mark in today's music climate. His recent work has been receiving rave reviews in some of the biggest publications such as The Source, XXl, Village Voice and others.
Sahdeeq's new critically acclaimed album entitled "Keepers of the lost art" which won "Best indie album 2014" at (The Underground Music Award) is out now on Below Systems alongside Marvial Entertainment and 22ventures. Sahdeeq is currently working on several new music projects as well as dabbling in The art world.
