Immersed in the waves of the tropical sea, exploring exploring its depth, while a blanket of clouds approaches the sky.
Today it’s atypical here, one of those days you don’t expect to live on the island. Little by little mist fills the air and a storm comes from the sea. In the forest the rain beats hard, recalls strange visions and opaque sensations. It's late now and the storm is coming to an end as the sky clears up, giving us the last weak light of the day that sketches in a sunset that envelops the soul.

'With this mix I wanted to experiment with some of the folk music that I collected during these years of traveling around the globe. I wanted to combine a certain type of traditional world music, mainly Asian, with a raw and enveloping ambient and electro-acoustic background. Inside there are aspects of Mongolian, Japanese, Taiwanese and South Korean music culture, together with field-recordings by Hafdís Bjarnadóttir from Iceland and electronic compositions by Eliane Radigue, Pete Namlook, Carlo Giustini, Loscil and Music For Sleep. My aim is to submit the listener to a different approach to listening to folk music, creating a soundscape that fully reflects the experiences and emotions during those travels.'

It feels strange to release music during these days, it feels like there are more important things happening. But nothing stops in nature. There is pain and there is joy. With music we try to express both, doing our best to be genuine.

We hope the sounds of Kanthor will take you on a journey, soothing the tension of this phase, remember you that beauty is everywhere. 

Produced across France, Canada and Portugal between 2015 and 2017, Mathème explores the beauty of choice rather than a balance forever postponed.
To add a bit of magic, Fjäder reinterprets Mathème with a “Midsummer Night´s Dream” version.

« Atsume - あつめ » means « forms of collection » , each title of the album refers to a form
that could represent an accumulation, based on the typology in the book « Form in Japan » by
Yuichiro Kojiro. This album is our opening, the fondation of our collaboration in which we seek the
emergence, for the listener, of a mind of one’s own. To do so, we suggest that one shall explore
soundscapes associated to electronic and exotic lands, to be propelled into a space where
shamanic territories merge with artificial and sonic landscape. A virtual exploration to open fractal sensations

« Aucuba Replica », symbolizes for us the duplication of the natural elements. The
botanical genus Aucuba includes a few species of shrubs native to Central Asia or Japan. Starting
from the premise that plants can be multiplied and reborn almost identically, even if each
individual remains unique. This idea of multiplication and artificial landscape generates our sound
atmosphere. We have creating a sound replica emanate from our individual practice, by collecting
sounds that can combine organic and artificial elements, bringing out the possibility to perceive
landscape as an audible geography.

Catarsi was born from silence. A creative void that generates an array of frequencies ready to be discovered by the listener. Spontaneous live creations emerged, flowing effortlessly, both on the dance floor and in a quiet listening environment.

Formant Value creative techniques are based on spontaneity, mixing analog drums machines with airy soundscapes to express the feelings of the instant.

Label’s head Shaded Explorer adds his touch to the release, reinterpreting Catarsi II, with a psychedelic Remix and a more organic and introspective Re-dream version.

Catarsi will be mostly enjoyed with a quiet mind, doing nothing except listening or dancing.
