Nikes is a Phoenix based musician, producer, and DJ. After a decade long background as a classically trained violinist and playing rhythm guitar in a Hardcore Metal band, discovering the electronic music world was the key to fusing a multitude of inspiration eventually arriving at bass driven club hybrid sounds.

Previously out of Austin, Texas, Nikes was a staple of the Austin dance music scene, and has played countless shows, both official and unofficial, at SXSW over the span of many years.

An avid track maker, he's always on to the next sound and doesn't like to stay in one lane. He remembers almost tossing the now featured track Quick Witit before his buddy from across the world sent him a video of it blasting at a club in Brazil:

"Seeing my unreleased tracks being used in live shows (Quick Witit) on an audience that speaks a different language but still vibing and dancing (when I thought it was a throwaway track) gave me confidence knowing the music was transcendent of cultural/language boundaries. Much to love to the people of Brazil."

Shadow Realm Radio: DJ MANNY x SUCIA!

Chicago's very own DJ Mc has brought his unique sound to Shadowban Radio with an exclusive mix that is not to be missed. Since his start in the early 2000s, DJ Mc has been pushing the boundaries of juke and ghetto house, drawing inspiration from his roots in the Lowend of Chicago.

DJ Mc's influences from Ghetto House and Juke are clear in his music, with releases on record labels from around the world, including Good Street Records and Shinkaron. His music has even been featured on the legendary Bangs and Works compilation by Planet Mu, which first brought Footwork to a larger, world-wide audience in 2010.

Recently, DJ Mc had a release on Hyperdub records entitled "Relentless EP," which showcases his ability to mix old school house stabs and kicks against strange sirens, as heard in "Chicago Flow," and his unique approach to cutting up classic R&B ballads, as heard in "Go Down."

With his impressive career and passion for pushing the boundaries of music, DJ Mc is definitely a name to watch in the world of electronic music.

Oceantied, the solo electronic project of Ketan Bahirat, presents an enticing guestmix for Shadowban Radio. Oceantied's music project explores a wide range of sounds, from downtempo to fast-paced and bass-heavy club music. He draws inspiration from his surroundings and imagination, incorporating textures and audio elements into his compositions. 

From performing at India's first Boiler Room session to playing at renowned European festivals like Outlook and Dimensions, as well as Bass Coast Festival in Canada, Oceantied has been embraced by the global music community. He was also selected to participate in the Red Bull Music Academy in Montreal (2016), and has shared stages with notable artists like AMIT, Sam Binga, and Zed Bias, established himself as a rising star in the electronic music scene.

Korea Town Acid (Jessica Cho) is wildly creative. She is an electronic artist at her core, but that barely scratches the surface of what her sound encompasses. Citing influences as UK future bass, glitch, jungle, and alternative hip hop, KTA fuses these sounds with concepts of movement and texture, to create multi-faceted works that go beyond the club.

HOOD JOPLIN
Hood Joplin’s work is an enthralling mix of sounds that touches upon various elements of rap, footwork, jungle, futurepop and trap. Joplin’s journey in music began as a young girl borrowing tapes from her older siblings that spanned the spectrum in music. Before long, she spent a lot of time locked in her room, making beats that started out as sample-based boom-bap before giving way to glitchy loops and high-energy edits that would find their way online to a receptive audience. Hood Joplin served as a 2019 Red Bull Music Academy Bass Camp alumni and a Serato Sample Challenge finalist.

Mel G is a producer and DJ based in New York City. As a member of the seminal Teklife crew and record label, he has been instrumental in the spread of Footwork, Juke, and Ghetto House in NYC since 2012. He's also one half of the footwork/electronic duo Tripletrain, who have released 4 albums and several singles & mixes over the years, gaining a cult following of fans from all over the world.

His Music has been released on Teklife Records, Hyperdub Records, Black Marble Collective, and several independent labels, as well as collaborations with DJ Rashad, DJ Spinn, DJ Manny, DJ Taye, DJ Earl, DJ Hank, Boylan (Chi), and more.

Vic Johnson, better known as VicOne is a Footwork DJ and producer from Chicago currently based out of Michigan.

After discovering Ghettohouse and listening to Wax Master Maurice he decided to become a DJ in 1995 but would only start producing more than 20 years later in 2019 after coming across a recording of DJ Rashad and DJ Spinn performing in Madrid. Like many Footwork producers he uses an MPC, the perfect tool for his sound.

Since he started producing his music has been released on various outlets and compilations, including Trashed Panda Music and Juke Bounce Werk's highly acclaimed "JBDUBZ" compilation series.

VicOne is closely associated with the Neon Street Music collective (formerly known as District 160) leading to collaborations with other collective members such as Thrash. He also runs his own label Art House Alumni with the help of Thrash and Cyribro and in 2022 he joined esteemed Footwork producer EQ Why's label Equalized Records.
