Traversing energised rock through to a gentler folk-inspired leaning, Shadowboard relate stories of the human condition within a strong musical frame. Soft and haunting vocals are counterpoint to at times driving rhythms, and memorable riffs.

Shadowboard formed in a Melbourne backyard studio, born of a love of varying musical styles - translating into songwriting refusing to be constrained by genre.  Their first EP, “Outlines”, released in June 2016, is a snapshot of the band’s past two years together, and is highlighted by honest, heartfelt autobiographical lyrics. The first single, Storyteller, recently spent four weeks on the Triple J Unearthed Charts. The second single, Ink, stayed at No.1 on the Triple J Unearthed Roots charts for three weeks in Sept/Oct 2016. These and other tracks were accepted onto AMRAP AirIt in August 2016, and have received airplay on Community Radio in Australia, and internet radio stations worldwide.
