In a cave in Jotunheim, the giant wolf Fenrir is tied to the ground by the magical chain Gleipner. A sword is stucked through its mouth to prevent it from biting the Gods. Every day you can hear its rage and mourns. Endless torment and suffering. Who would have thought that this mighty creature, who are destined to swallow Odin himself at Ragnarok, once was an innocent little wolf pup suckling at the breasts of its mother Angrboda? Let the story of Fenrir remind us that even the most broken and vicous beings were innocent when they came from the womb. It is the scars of life  that shape us, not whether we were born God, man or wolf.

Little demo made exclusively with Xsample libraries. No click track used, no quantization nor any MIDI editing was done. Objective of this little composition is to demonstrate the "plonkability" of the Xsample woodwind instruments. Hence just the one (legato) patch was used for the entire recording (both sustained and short notes) and it was all recorded in one take.

My son and I made this for fun on a sunday afternoon. It's a mix of Hedwig's Theme, some Mando shakuhachi flutes and the "Hey" choir from the Boba Fett theme. We had tons of fun making this.

Unmixed. Unmastered. Lots of smiles. Started around 14.30 PM and finished 17 PM because we promised to cook dinner ;-)

Something hidden in the darkness strikes out to shatter our world. We deal with it as best as we can, being forever changed through the process. Sometimes we are able to overcome these dark leviathans and leave them behind; often we must continue our struggle through our lifetimes; and once and a while, they get the best of us.

We all deal with pain. We all face mortality. We are all travelling between the light of the stars, facing our own stretches of the unknown.

But even through the darkest journeys, we can still find hope.

Pandora Unlocked: Interstellar Black is a collection of 16 instrumental tracks, combining Darksynth and Dark Ambient, coloured with a Cinematic slant. The tracks tell a story of an epic struggle, but also a personal struggle - what are your dark leviathans? What parts of your future are in distress? What sort of memories will you leave for those around you?
