The program Ultimate Vocal Remover (or this website: https://mvsep.com/en) can be used to create similar audio edits intended to isolate unreleased background music or create instrumentals to songs that lack an official one.

This time, I decided to make a UVR audio edit of the entire battle scene between Sonic and Shadow instead of only the unreleased hip hop instrumental during their fight. Sound effects aren't easy to remove. If using a 5.1ch audio source, it's possible to achieve a cleaner audio rip with less sound effects.

Stereo Audio Sources (no 5.1ch):
Tenacity Audio Editor (e.g. recording audio source to produce an audio file, .wav or .mp3) -> Ultimate Vocal Remover / MVSep (background music isolation) ->  Result.

Surround Sound (5.1ch audio sources):

"First, I extracted the 5.1 audio track from the Dutch DVD [of 4Kids Sonic X EP9] using PgcDemux. Then, I converted the extracted files to 6 channel WAV (5.1 track source, so Front, Center, Right, Side Left, Side Right, Low Frequency Effects) using ffmpeg and eac3to. Then, I used the Side Left, Side Right channels which didn't contain dialog and voices. So, I edited those 2 tracks in Magix Vegas."
