BenZel is the [magical] life of Umi Takahashi and Yoko Watanabe. Originally from Osaka; Umi and Yoko both travelled to New York through their foreign exchange program. They met in early 2012 through an online message board about ankle socks and quickly discovered they each had a profound  for 90’s R&B and J. Dilla. After many failed attempts to create a hypoallergenic ankle sock, they decided to put their efforts towards other creative ventures. Following hours of soul searching: they decided to start BenZel… they’ve been working on it since yesterday.

Samuel Piazza AKA SHAIME, grew up in Humboldt Park/ Logan Square during the 90's and 2000's.. SHAIME started off freestying at parties doing graffiti and playing in punk bands.. This progressed into making beats and writing actual songs. SHAIME was pretty busy playing shows in Chicago's underground scene with his group Big Splashes until they disbanded in 2011.. Shame took some time to get his beat and rhyme game up before dropping "206 BONE$" in the summer of 2014, under the name "Gandhi Capone" SHAIME is now in the process of completing his forthcoming (self Produced ) mixtape entitled "Weapons, Medicine and Textiles"..- Stay Posted.. Excellent music headed your way..

This is some of my earlier work, I hope you all enjoy this journey with me, although it looks like the music been on here for a few years with only a few plays, its because I made this page private for a couple years due to some issues with labels, management and self! Enjoy

Absurdist, versatile, unique. Mississippi-native MIKESH!FT comes out of nowhere with a refreshing sound. Proud of his Black American heritage, he merges hard-hitting, robotic dubstep with the soulful sounds of Hip Hop, R&B, and Jazz. Heralded by Excision with his Bass Initiative in 2022, MIKESH!FT has honed his DJ skills at acclaimed Dubstep festivals Lost Lands and Bass Canyon.  

He takes on the role of a Cyborg, creating a soundscape that encapsulates cutting-edge cybernetic enhancements, and the nostalgic, cynical dystopia that surrounds it. In 2025, MIKESH!FT is set to release his debut album, full of passionate but energetic dance floor music.

I am a Designer and DJ and Music Producer. I reside in Chicago,IL. When it comes to music Its my addiction I cant live without it.  I run a company in chicago that makes amazing art and music called SPLASH PARADISE.
