From the island of St. Vincent and the grenadines, living in Anguilla. Has been doing music for the past 15years as an artiste, song writer, producer, now a dj. Music is life.

At this point, Daddy-E can not simply be described as an artist. He is a force. The 26-year-old from the island of Anguilla burst on to his island’s music scene in 2016 as the lead singer of the budding “Session Band.” From the very beginning he was able to stand toe to toe with the island’s more seasoned performers. His voice? Unforgettable! His stage performances? Explosive! Daddy E has been lauded for his ability to deliver clever lyrics, yet still perform with confidence rarely seen by new Soca artists. He has an unabashed approach to his shows and the stage belong to no one but him when he touches it.
 
Daddy E’s love for music started in primary school. He remembers drumming on the desks and singing loudly during recess and lunchtime. He says “Amazingly, even from that age I knew it. I knew that I was going to be an artist. I already had a vision of how I would perform.” Daddy E garnered a reputation for his talent around the school yard. By the time graduation day arrived, Daddy E was selected as the soloist to lead his graduating class’ farewell song. The visiting pianist was so impressed that he notified the music department and choir director at the high school Daddy E would attend.
 
During his high school tenure, he remembers his love for music growing even more. From classic artists like Jam Band’s Daddy Friday, lead singer of PVI, Pantha and Trinidad based international sensations Machel Montano and Bunji Garlin, Daddy E was studying and obsessing over every detail. He paid attention to what they said and how they said it. He paid attention to how they held the microphone and how they moved. He paid attention to their song selections and how they used their voices. Daddy E knew that he would perform one day. In the meantime, he passed his days by downloading live recordings of his favorite Soca bands. Every day, he would pack his Bluetooth speaker beside his books. He would treat his schoolmates to impromptu performances before and after classes. This was his training ground. He just needed the opportunity to show a broader audience what he could do.
 
That opportunity would come in the form of his school’s career day. During lunch break, a young band was given the opportunity to perform. Daddy E pushed his way to the front of the crowd and eventually on to the stage. “I remember dancing just to hype the crowd up, but really I wanted the mic.” The band’s singer saw his enthusiasm and eventually handed him the mic. This was his moment. Daddy E rocked the crowd of high schoolers. The entire school heard about the new star. Alas, even a stellar first performance was not enough for him to be taken seriously. “I remember going around the island from band house to band house, asking if I could audition. No one wanted to hear me.” Daddy E would not be defeated. He decided to form his own band. One by one he found young eager members, who like him, just wanted a shot.
 
In 2017, Session Band, led by Daddy E debuted their first single “Extra Deep.” The song shot to the top of the Anguilla soca scene and radio stations were bombarded with requests. The song and Daddy E’s performance was also acknowledged by Soca superstar Kes. Similarly, Daddy E’s 2019 offering “Bounce and Toss Away” featuring Soddi, drew the attention of the wider region and was a staple on the infamous Uber Soca cruise. The song’s music video has racked up almost 60,000 views and counting.
 
Daddy E is on his way to becoming one of the artists that will make a global impact. His unique ability to execute over Traplypso, a rising sub-genre of soca, a traditional soca beats is impressive. His songs inject humor, and many times are based on experiences. Thus, demanding the attention of the ears as well as the waistlines of his fans.
 
Daddy E is a force that is rapidly creating a movement. His talent is undeniable, his songs are un-matched and his performances are unforgettable. Daddy is not only the future. He is NOW!
