When we stimulate the circulation of manifestation of this energy, we are activating the creative force that inhabits us and manifesting it in all areas of our being: physical, emotional, mental and spiritual.

Shákti is a word that symbolizes power and transcends energy. It represents the dynamic forces that exist throughout the entire Universe.

Cobe-Cobe tunes into Shakti frequencies for this blend of organic house and downtempo music, inspired by the wild feel of the Shakticast series: world traditions combining with a heavy groove and plenty of percussion. The journey begins in nature, vocal chants and ancestral instruments, drawing the focus to the centre, then expands outwards as rhythmic elements build and progressive components are layered on. 

Experimenting with four-deck mixing and aimed to showcase an hour-long energy build through the BPMs from 112 to 119, with tasteful dusting of samples and FX. Moving music from La Payara, the Oddness, Sangeet, Kumara (PA), Stavroz, Nhii, Dandara, Elfenberg, Robbie Akbal, Red Axes, Konstantin Sibold, Jacob Groening, Shai T, Laroz Camel Riders, Los Cabra, DJ Chus, Amine K, Dennis Cruz and Somelee.

The rāga saga is a series that acts as a cultural collectiva of our favourite artists from all over, Each raga is an array of melodic structures with musical motifs, considered in the Indian tradition to have the ability to "colour the mind" and affect the emotions of the audience and this journey(raga), on this edition we welcome @cobecobemusic whose beautiful music has been released on kosa, cosmic awakenings, shango and more + awaits an EP release with us aswell!,

ABOUT THE ARTIST -
Cobe-Cobe is a producer, DJ and musician on labels Cosmic Awakenings, Kośa Musica, Tibetania Records, LiLDream and Camel VIP. An acoustic remedy of desert, jungle and metropolis feels, always underpinned by a deep percussive groove, “Cobe-Cobe” [ko-be ko-be] a universal sound under different names.

Originally from the UK, his musical beginnings came when a childhood mentor taught him to improvise at the piano, then Celtic folk sessions, classical and jazz harmonies from Mingus to Stravinsky, tinkering with the original Cubase VST, establishing himself as a double bassist on his local scene, eventually led to studying composition at a UK music college.

Through this, he became captivated by the two sides of music - the hypnotic beat / the ethereal melody, the mind / the heart, harmony / groove, the voice / the kick, celestial beings / earthly roots. Mesmerised by the experience of making others dance, he started to experiment with combining with what he saw as the two sides of music.

Learning vinyl, his first UK gigs were for Hit & Run. Electronic production skills developed, tastes refined, and sounds were collected wherever he roamed, from Colombia to Tulum, London to Amsterdam, to starting the DJ collective Catlocarpio in Cambodia, and recording traditional music in the Tibetan highlands.

Mutant Magic [MuMa] from Barcelona presents Aman Dava's long awaited debut Ep “Sol”.
 
The Ep includes two elegant downtempo originals, “Sol” and “Buscando”, depicting his unique colorful and playful style, and showcasing his original catchy and heartfelt vocal melodies and lyrics, alongside dreamy synth and clarinet melodies that invite the listener to a beautiful journey.
 
The Ep is completed with two amazing remixes. CharlieM, turns “Sol” into an unpredictable story that slowly and magically unfolds, submerging the listener into a darker atmosphere full of drive, and with lots of the beautiful details that define his style.

This mix was inspired by discovering a new sound in the mighty talents of Or:la @orla_cd. Her track UK Lonely struck a chord and sent me off crate-digging on Bandcamp for electronica, winding-in some Indian vocals from MD Pallavi produced by Andi Otto, and trying out mixing faster BPM drumnbass beats 145bpm+ with half-time downtempo tracks (Call Super working well for this blend of speeds+transitions). I made the final track selection sitting in a weekend cafe by the Mekong River in Phnom Penh, then went home and mixed it live on XDJ RX1 :) Thanks for your comments and enjoy!!!
