I’ve posted a collection of music that is very special to me to coincide with this auspicious occasion.  

It’s been such a year of grief and loss for many of us. Death has come closer to me than ever before.  I’ve been deeply affected by the passing of some dearly beloved beings and continue to attempt to come to terms with the understanding that we will all eventually have to say goodbye to one another.  

I’ve called this set Key To A Memory. it’s about grieving and remembering and the marks we make on each other. The things that remind us of what is gone.  It’s about the intricate tapestry our lives weave together. It’s about the bitterness of accepting loss. It’s about the release of letting go.  It’s about cherishing the time we’ve been given and returning to gratitude.  Embracing death and celebrating life. 

Compiled and arranged in the deep winter months on the Sunshine Coast in BC. the dark and gloom are palpable. Though i hear a hint of spring in there at times as well. like seeds buried in the snow dreaming of the sun.


I know I take myself pretty seriously sometimes. It is just a DJ mix after all haha. Yet these songs mean a lot to me and the feelings they convey help me move through these moments with all the grace I can.  I hope that you will enjoy.  LOVE ALWAYS

This dreamy femhouse set was curated by Taylor Chancellor (1/2 of Dose.)and shared live at Bloom Nightclub as an evening opener for the Queens, Meow Mix 20th Anniversary.

This set pays homage to loved ones lost and loved the ones we hold dear to our hearts. Full of deep vulnerability, these tracks revel in emotion. Each track was thoughtfully selected to represent the baddie fems, women, and thems who are making big waves in the scene.

This set is a collection of lo-fi jazz influenced instrumental hiphop tracks. This sub-genre is largely being produced and inspired by (while being super relaxed about it) the thriving lofi hiphop/jazz hop culture coming out of Japan as well as North America. 
I love this genre and have been collecting my favorites from it for a while now, it makes me happy to start to share them.

Living abroad and international travel have inspired them to highlight and elevate the beautiful sounds of other cultures. You can catch Shallin out and about in Portland, OR, and beyond these days.
