Rødhåd's next release will come via his Dystopian label and the sinister imprint is releasing an eight-track compilation to mark the tenth release. An ever-evolving entity, Dystopian is now also a fulyl functioning record label, booking agency and club night.

We've got the premiere of 'Like Tears In The Rain' from the compilation and Rødhåd has smashed this one out of the park. Menacing kicks, pulsating riffs and cymbals that thrash and crash profusely.

This weekend you'll be able to catch Rødhåd in his element as he heads to Belgium for I Love Techno festival. The long-standing party is highly regarded for its diverse line-up with a clear focus on bringing that techno heat and alongside Rødhåd on the day is DJ Rush, Dave Clarke and Brodinski b2b Gesaffelstein to name a few.

A seminal, bold and instantly nostalgic LP, Midnight Wave showcases Imre's immense ability to craft vivid landscapes of ethereal sound, infused with layers and years of emotional content. 

Culled from live-to-tape synth sessions in his once London abode, these tracks are the result of melancholic and restricted surroundings and trappings. 

What has emerged is a body of crackling, warm ambient and techno with a vast, cinematic scope. A sonic portrait of an alienated moment in London, told using industrial visceral tools and visualised through the cutting figure of a lonely individual boarding the 5am night bus home.

Aus Music exultantly welcome a fresh signee and all time label favourite into the fold in the form of extolled and accomplished producer Recloose. With a 12” that marks the end of a three year production intermission, the Planet E and Rush Hour great readies ‘Honey Rocks’ - a glowing three-track EP that demonstrates the unwavering talents of a producer with 20 years experience in the game.

Having entered a new phase of his career in 2014 propelled by a move to Brooklyn, the nomadic producer continues to develop a hugely impressive discography that’s included remixes for Herbert, Motor City Drum Ensemble, Funkadelic and MJ Cole as well as four full-length LPs and numerous EPs on labels such as Peacefrog, Planet E and Sonar Kollektiv.

‘Honey Rocks’ brings together three deftly structured dancefloor tracks. All as jubilant and groovy as each other as Soul, Funk, Disco and classic House sounds are melded with ineffable flair and skill in a record that reaffirms Aus Music’s status as a label capable of not only maintaining consistency but also keeping listeners guessing.

nthng finally follows up his four stunning EPs with a full album proper, arriving in a whopping 3xLP pack.

Arriving a good 6 months after the LT029.5 album sampler which debuted both Soms and In My Dreams, nthng adds another seven hazy, hooded techno bangers to those to make up a pretty dazzling body of work.

Opener 'Touches' is true ambient bliss, with shrouded, blissful synths fuzzing into view and cut through by a soft low distant sunlight. 

Both Galaxy and Eternal thump into view with a hi-paced drums colliding and clashing with syncopated stabs and smooth dusty baselines, recalling the tender techno-trance precipice danced by Dutch producers at the start of the 90's.

The huge mysterious fan favourite and title track It Never Ends gets it's pride of place with 9 mins of deep, cavernous techno, all rippling with epic string-synths and washes of mountainous reverb.

Even deeper numbers are extracted from the hard-drive, including the pensively, digitally-bubbling computer jam Unity sitting tidily alongside the super deep and subtle rolls of Abyss.

Rounding the album out is the appropriately-titled Last. A dark, shimmering, almost emotionless number that cements a different idea of the future. A hard, pounding, yelping, depth-charged technoid closer.

For us, the album feels like a real masterpiece, conjuring a spectrum of intimate and emotive moods, feelings and nostalgia-tinged memories that float into the mind, like the settling fog in the valley on a crisp winters morning.

With a trail of club-worn bodies left in his wake since his debut Lobster Theremin EP, closely followed by huge slabs for Shall Not Fade and Unknown To The Unknown, TRP joins the Mörk clan with four tough and ethereal modern classics in his crunchy house-techno hybrid production style.

The heavily swung, skippy & raw peak timer, The Future, hammers into view with scorched drum-lines rioting over a dystopian city-wide call from a tyrant mayor and minor 7th diving pads. Full lockdown in 2017.

The A-side eases off with the deeper, tender cut Raindrop Shape. Infused with a sweeter, softer touch of synth hand. Slowly directing small objects and ducks along the surface of the bath, bubbles popping and latching to the flotsam, toes tickling the end of the tap. A day-dreamers delight.

Another TRP archive dig comes forth in the shape of M7. A fictional motorway drive-time cut. Empty 4am lanes, fog lights, tape decks and in-car smoking. One for French airport transfers in small hatchbacks laced with an edge of post-club insomnia.

Closing out the whole is dusty, organic drum-banger Highjacked. Coming on in two layers - low-passed drum rumblings and twinkling, wandering proto-keys - and rolling upwards and outwards into a beaming, acid-grumbling floor-botherer. Knackered, rough and way-too-long-after-closing house music for lock-ins.

Our GRIDLOCK series of dancefloor-focused 12"s continues on May 12th with the Leisure System debut of Deapmash, a young French producer whose unreleased bangers have been tearing up dancefloors and become a not-so-secret weapon at Leisure System parties worldwide. Featuring “Halcyon,” a ruffneck VIP of the same track, and an outstanding collaboration with Benjamin Damage, Deapmash’s debut physical release is a no-nonsense introduction to one of the most exciting young techno producers around.

Hiding slightly out of plain sight, Australian producer Mood J has been secretly crafting lush house jams for the last half decade bubbling just under the visible surface.

With the artist and Asquith having briefly touched base at the beginning of the label's journey, it took only a chance encounter in a Ballarat bungalow in 2016 to reignite the flames of the artist-label relationship. Jimmy surprisingly bumping into Jon (Mood J), as he was Daze's housemate in Aus, whilst the Lobster crew were on tour there.

Mood J's hard drive was stashed with archive of warm, sizzling, analogue studio tracks cooked to the nines, and so here we are just over 14 months later with the full epic debut in hand.

The edits-y anthem Turn Your Love Around kicks things off in huge fashion with a stomping & heaving flip of a proper classic. Arrangement never felt so tight and this one rides heftily into the night. NY Vibration follows, smoothing things out with a lolloping New York house twist layered with rippling, resonant deep haus pads, searing top lines and an easy spoken word. 

The flip kicks off with The Arps, a skittering hat skater with an ascending, descending and cascading arp line that hisses with sea spray and hot evenings in central Victoria. 

Providing the last hurrah of the night we have Moonlight Drive. Summer heartbreak captured in a single moment and a slap bass. A melancholy Juno riding over a hint of twinkling optimism, saying that it's not over yet.

There’s not much we can tell you about analogue adventurer Oasis Pyramid. This 12” not only marks his debut under the alias, but also the first outing from Four Triangles, a brand new label from fellow electronic explorer ASOK.

Oasis Pyramid deals primarily in rough-round-the-edges rhythms and intoxicating electronics. It’s testament to his hardware-manipulating skills that these two unifying themes manifest themselves in contrasting ways over the course of a quietly impressive debut outing.

Compare, for example, the chunkiness of the swinging drum hits and intergalactic pulses of “Hydra”, and the poignant late night melancholy of opener “Tracking”, where ascending melodies and wayward electronics combine to create a near psychedelic mood. Or, for that matter, the industrial-inspired drum distortion and mutant motifs of “709”, and the deep and trippy hypnotism of “Prism”, where locked-in percussion hits and ghostly riffs are smothered in crackling, modular noise.

It’s a fittingly fine first release from Four Triangles, a label founded to showcase the work of previously unheralded artists working in the space between house, techno and vintage rave. Expect more hard-to-define, dusty, rhythmical electronica in the future.

Make Believe Disco is the newest vinyl-only imprint from Guy and Kris, the Dutch and Danish/Canadian duo behind @SleazyBeats. Originally starting as a blog back in early to mid-2009, Sleazy Beats then quickly transitioned into a record label later that same year, with their first release coming from Eddie C. Fast forward eight years and they've gone through two series of ten releases each. The original catalogue was a little bit on the slo-mo/edit tip while the follow-up series and arguably their hottest, the Black Ops series, was geared more toward the dance floor. Their no digital, no repress policy enacted in 2010 has caught them some flack over the years as many fans have struggled to pick up copies. But they've stuck to it, ensuring that limited stays limited while unfortunately fetching some ridiculous prices on the second-hand market.

Guy and Kris' impressive A&R skills paired with some impeccable timing have helped both their label and certain artists blossom. One of those artists is @JunktionMusic aka Hans Peeman, one half of @JustSayFouk and co-founder of @Outplay. A widely popular follow-up to his "Monologues" EP, "The Great Unknown", which was released on the Black Ops imprint, sold out in a matter of a couple of days (if not less than that) and this happened around the time that the hype around both Junktion and Sleazy Beats was conceivably at an all-time high. With this surefire recipe for success, why not repeat the process?

Today we're extremely excited to bring you Peeman's latest and the second release on newly minted Make Believe Disco with the premiere of the A1 and title track "In Blue Forests". Hans manages to evoke his signature sound while breathing some fresh air into this project. The crisp drums we've come to expect are certainly present here with catchy bass guitar licks making regular appearances. However, the aptly titled track brings forth visions of rain forests and tropical climates utilizing afro-latin percussion rhythms and arpeggiated marimba-like instruments, a step away from the funky and more soulful samples we're accustomed to hearing from the Dutchman. Exemplary synth work rounds out this euphonious cocktail, creating tension in all the right moments and taking a back seat to the groove when needed.

Needless to say, this EP will sell like hotcakes so you better get your pre-orders in as soon as possible or risk being disappointed!
