Having made his debut on @ThroneofBlood as a contributor to Moon Rock Volume 4, @Casswheel returns to the label with a blissed out 12” that builds upon the low-slung atmospheres of his recent output on Emotional Response and International Feel - Mark Barrott (in collaboration with Jan Schulte - Music) to create a heady and modern sound influenced by both Balearic and 80’s pop sonics without every losing sight of the dance.

We're in love with the whole release but the remix from @Autarkic (Disco Halal, Golf Channel Recordings) is one of our stand our tracks of the moment.... emphasizing the disco punk elements, he's twists “Red Atlantic” into a dancefloor bomb with a looping take on the bassline, an insistent horn motif which creates an awesome off-kilter atmosphere.

Following hot on the heels of his sold out Rumba and Ciquita 12”s, Bawrut returned to Ransom Note Records earlier this year with the 4x4 EP - home to four typically leftfield bangers that come on like a whirlwind journey through one of his unfailingly energetic DJ sets. With appearances at the likes of Nuits Sonores, Sónar and Farr Festival, the Madrid-based producer is lined up for another exciting summer.

Now, we’re very happy to announce a remix EP featuring contributions from a host of star producers, underground favourites and R$N family. First up is the one and only Lauer who dials up the intensity on ‘I Hear Voices’, introducing lush chords, a sticky synth hook and an impossibly bouncy bassline.

Knoxville, Tennessee producer Nikki Nair is the latest signing to Barely Legal’s Pretty Weird Records. Having previously made outings on Scuffed Recordings and Gobstopper, where Nikki Nair experimented with the human voice on his ‘Morphism’ EP, his latest offering finds him playing with bass stabs and old movie samples. ‘Scuzzy’ is one of two tracks on a double single coming out on Pretty Weird this Friday, and on it Nikki Nair flexes his percussive muscles with rude flair, with early support coming from the likes of Four Tet and Ben UFO.

Dubrunner - BRUK OUT

Dutch DJ and producer, Coco Bryce, makes his Lobster Theremin debut with an incredible offering of jungle, hardcore and broken beats that conjure up feelings of warm, nostalgic euphoria. Over 25 years in the game, recently it feels Bryce is unstoppable - unleashing killer cuts on Dead Man’s Chest’s Western Lore, 7th Storey Projects and Fresh 86. Nodding to the sound of the Netherlands he was enamoured with in the 90’s - hardcore, gabber, breakbeat - and channelling the spirit of the UK hardcore scene; Lobster Theremin imprint LT White is the perfect home for this extremely vibesy, playful EP. 

Title track, ‘Ma Bae Be Love’ sees saccharine sweet vocals, bouncy broken beats and jungle energy come together - an uplifting cut you’ll want to keep on loop. A2, ‘Blue Tile Lounge’ marries intricate drum patterns full of sunkissed grooves, with warm pads and uplifting vox lines. On the flip, ‘Smoke Screen’ reaches further into hardcore terrority with acid lines bubbling up, frantic percussion and whirlpool electronics swirling throughout, with timeless rave references - watch ya bass bins! Finally, ‘Get Schwifty’ is a total crusher. Hectic, old skool jungle that still sounds fresh as hell, one to shake the floor to the core, a total stonker!

One of Ireland’s fast-rising stars, DART brings his inimitable energy from Dublin to d-floor with this killer EP. After winning the AVA Emerging Producer competition in 2018, there has been no stopping the young gun. The first to release on Shall Not Fade’s new Basement Tracks series - focussing on club fuelled Techno & Electro., This is a masterclass in big-room vibes; wild licks of funk filled techno and electro that have paved the way for DART carving out a space for himself on bills and labels across the globe.

‘Stop for Nothing’ sets the scene - stripped back techno sits beneath melodic trance elements, building up to an enigmatic peak and descending into a raw and upfront banger, swinging from barely there synths to kickin techno - this one is a real trip.
Next up, ‘Hit and Run’ is low-slung and mesmerising. Wiggling lines meet eerie overtones, soundtracking a late-night cruise turned mystical adventure. B-side ‘Shutdown’ is killer acid-lined cut - a slow burner that builds into vague memories of synth pop with an otherworldly, exotic twist. Rounding out the ep with a super slick, infectious 2-stepper,  ‘Plugged Outro’ is a straight-forward groovy cut that you’ll want to keep on loop.
