The 10th release from Brooklyn's HOMAGE is a new EP from Ben Gomori, entitled 'What A Time To Be A House Producer' and featuring four-originals from the UK artist. Ben has been a prominent figure in the London house scene for the past two decades, heading up his own Monologues Records as well as the podcast of the same name, his Turned On radio show, and the acclaimed Stern Edits imprint. Amongst this Gomori has also released his material further afield on imprints such as Atjazz Music Company and Needwant, here though we see him joining the roster of New York's HOMAGE with more high octane house cuts.

'Fluxed Up' leads with an amalgamation of delayed stab sequences, vocal chants, and acid-tinged hooks while a snaking bassline and swinging drums carry the groove.

As bars and nightclubs in many parts of the world are forced to close we have decided to prepare an incredibly universal compilation with the participation of old friends and new label guests for you. It is equally well suited for a home dance party with close friends or a solo party to the tracks of HATT.D, Evenn and DJ Atlance, as well as for chill home listening to tracks of Sam Paradise and Naux. Eventually you can just dream in your bedroom at night to the music of Marc Brauner, 2XM and Jacssen.

PREMIÈRE: 2XM - Solace

Harrison BDP returns to Shall Not Fade for his seventh release for the label, this time on the house-oriented Lost Palms sub-label. 

The prolific Welsh producer has gained well-deserved attention for his consistently exciting work over the past few years. He is rooted in the deeper side of house but experiments with minimalism and techno. Fresh off a release with French dub techno label Berg Audio, Harrison BDP brings some of that same energy to this smooth four-tracker. 

‘Invisible In The Dark’ opens the EP up with a spaced-out, dubby house vibe. It builds slowly into a beat for filling a darkened dancefloor, coupled with melancholic strings that are gently soothing before the drop. The second track, ‘Slugs’, takes you back to the producer’s UK roots, a chugging garage number with choppy vocals and rave inflections - it’s a dirtier track than the first to close the A-side. The B-side is made up of two longer cuts - ‘Hate The Taste Of Whiskey’ is a return to the housier sound we know from Harrison BDP, starting off minimalist but opening up into soaring pads and clubby stabs - one to lose yourself in. The EP closes with its grooviest offering in ‘Departure’. Built over a sultry, enticing bassline that’s hard not to dance to, the finishing track is upbeat and playful, channeling retro house with a hook guaranteed to get stuck in your head.

Invisible In The Dark EP drops February 19th via Shall Not Fade.
