Time Zones is the dance music project of Dan Gentile and Jack Murphy. The two began making music together in 2014 while living in Austin, Texas. Their work is rooted in the appreciation of soulful house music and dollar bin disco singles.

Crackling samples loop over an assembly of live (read: non-quantized) tracked instruments, including a Korg PolySix, Roland JX-3P, modular synthesizer, and a broken x0xb0x, giving each cut that lively, human touch. The record features a punchy remix of the title track produced by label head (@mysteryzonerecords) Hiatt Becker under the alias Unknown FM.

Copenhagen-based musical adventurer Ground Plane Aerial returns with the latest instalment under his recently birthed moniker – this time launching his very own Theorama label project with a typically expressive 'Elusive Maneuvers' EP.
Ground Plane Aerial is the latest incarnation of the mysterious man behind the highly regarded Paxton Fettel project. With countless releases under his belt on much respected labels – including Delusions Of Grandeur, Kolour LTD, Apersonal, and regular home Greta Cottage Workshop – the new nom de plume is an exciting new 
vessel from where he intends to advance his odyssey into house-inspired jazz-funk futurism. Fresh from inspired releases and remixes on Apparel Music and Tensnake's True Romance, his latest offering is every bit as striking as we've come to expect from the maverick producer. 
The lively tempo, dramatic stabs and elegant musicality of 'Ethereal Drop' render it an esoteric classic in the making. Guitar picks burst into life over lush pads while synth arpeggios meander across the panorama. Rich with intelligent musicality, the arrangement ebbs and flows blissfully before eventually disappearing into evocative violet skies.
'Magik In Fuck Off Major' belies its cheekily confrontational name, as intricate layers of jazz-tinged keyboard licks make way for delicious chord progressions. The crisp rhythm stealthily builds before a deviant funk-fuelled synth line joins the action to add a freakish intensity to the delightfully distinctive cut. Simultaneously detailed and spacious, the music overflows with originality while retaining a floor-focused edge.

Tilman, longtime label favourite, never fails to bring good vibes with his immaculately constructed outings on Shall Not Fade. A label owner, DJ, producer and music obsessive, the best of his jazz influenced pumping house style is shown on Touch Me Fantasy EP.

Feel good jackin’ house dominates from the start, ‘Rewind Your Dreams’ setting an upbeat tone and easing into the laid back grooves and infectious piano licks of ‘Clouds’. Funky undertones show through on ‘Mind Games’, a track all about syncopated percussive playfulness and awash with sunny beachside chords, a vibe that continues in a Balearic manner through blissed out house wafter ‘Two The Max’ featuring Will Buck. Tilman closes the EP on a different vibe; ‘Woman’ is a pounding dancefloor workout with a harder, more abrasive edge.

Next up on our mix series is one of our resident DJs, Gerdaze.

Currently residing in Melbourne but originating from Cork, Ireland.

Gerdaze has a love for old-school/ 90s deep house music but also has an ear for the broader ranges of house and other genres. He was bred into the scene from a very young age, getting a set of turntables and a box of house records at the age of 9. From there, religiously listening to the infamous Sir henrys "sweat" mix  tapes and the likes of the  Fish go deep radio podcast set the tone.
Later on attending fish go deep's monthly resident slot in the pavilion nighclub in cork city, which opened the door to discovering house legends like kerri chandler, mood ll swing, ron trent and Omar s, these were some of the artists which influenced the sound that he loves and keeps going back to.
His love for the scene only keeps thriving as the years go on, exploring different sounds in different countries and now experimenting in producing his own music.
